Do you like talking to strangers while out taking photographs? Or would you prefer to act like you don't see them in the hopes that no one tried to talk to you?

I have been scared by some early morning hikers, generally, human, bear, deer, moose, I don't want to interact with anything.

Those are some mighty fine captures! Definitely getting on the same eye level of your subject is a great lesson to learn!!

You are a true photographer my friend. Getting low is THE RIGHT WAY to shoot animals but only a true photographer who doesn't care about getting dirty can do so. (Which makes me a pseudo wildlife photographer I guess) Great shots!

Haha thank you Arty, you sell yourself short you are definitely a wildlife photographer!! I just prefer "nature photography" it's nice and vague 😂

Living in central Wisconsin I know very well that this time of year is tough for photography. The light isn't great, the wildflowers are pretty much gone, the birds are not nearly as active, and the trees have not yet started to turn. What I'm finding myself doing these days is scouting possible locations for when fall starts to kick off.
As for chatting with strangers, I'm okay with it, but it isn't something I seek out. I'm always pleasant and polite, but don't typically initiate conversations. That said, I have had some quite enjoyable interactions over the years.

Thanks Mark, over the last few weeks I have also found myself out scouting for locations. My surroundings have recently been "dull" and I have been struggling to find interesting compositions - inevitably resulting in me taking in locations for future outings as opposed to capturing images.

Hey Tim, you're right about getting low, it makes an incredible difference especially for those dreamy backgrounds.
I've been chasing Fungi the past week or so, I've been on my stomach more than my feet lol. I got dirty as a pig and I now need two knees replaced, but worth the fun at the same time haha.
Hey did you hear? Tonight (Sunday/Sept 15) is supposed to be a highly active Aurora, forecasted to be 7 Kpa.
It's been friggin freezing here the past few days 7C, so I got my gloves & toque and my long johns by the fire place getting toasty lol, forecast is partly cloudy for tonight, and I don't care lol, I'm taking my opportunity to get some images...hopefully.
Fall colours are coming real quick, I know there are a lot of great areas around your way to get some nice images, I have one trip I want to make for a specific image of the colours contrasting with the ocean during sunrise. Now, my problem is it will only work at sunrise and I'm not really a morning guy lol...I'll see how it works out this year, last year the wind had other plans and the colours didn't last no time.
    Cheers,
    Will

Seems like you have lots of fun photography plans in the works (hopefully your knees are up to the task) I went out last evening in the hopes of capturing the Aurora but sadly it was too cloudy there was no visible Aurora to the naked eye or through my camera.
The nights here have been very cold, I was away for the past few days and I was surprised by the drastic change in the leaf colour in the four days I was gone. I cannot wait to get out with my camera!!
