Here because of Rick Beato. Would love to hear more Muddy Magnolias! Digging these performances, powerful voices, inspired tunes, and Rhett Shull on guitar.
Rick may have accidentally caused these ladies to suddenly increase in popularity; I'm here for the same reason. They deserve to be hugely recognized for their talent and obvious hard work putting together such beautiful, inspirational, and soulful music.
Good Question. I never heard of them until April of 2022. I heard of them via Rick Beato who is a good friend of the guitarist, Rhett Shull. I'm sold on them now.
I, too, am here because of Rick Beato and his TH-cam channel on which he played the Muddy Magnolias writing (with Rick) & singing their song “Down by the Riverside.” Two things: I never cease to be amazed by Rick’s knowledge, talent & professionalism and his willingness & enthusiasm to share everything he knows/thinks with us - his audience. I’m 76 years old and love music, but I’m not a musician. Regardless of how much time and money I’ve spent over the years trying to develop the “talent” that I just k n o w is in there somewhere … hahahaha … I’m still playing the same cowboy chords that I did sixty years ago. In short, I just love listening to music and hearing how hotly the fire burns in musicians as they go about their craft and chase the ever elusive goal of “making it.” And Muddy Magnolias is my new favorite …
Every once and a while, an artist or artists come along - seemingly out of nowhere and just knock your socks off. Rick Beato certainly did us a huge favor by introducing us to these two. Only problem is now I can't get enough!!!
Should also mention that Jessy Wilson has a great solo album called Phase which was released in 2019 and Rhett was touring with her pre-lockdown. It is great that with the power of the Internet we can discover these bands but a tragedy that it has also distorted the income streams so much that hugely talented musicians such as this find it almost impossible to make a decent living.
Real music still exists today. You just have to dig a little deeper for it. Dig these awesome musicians (Rhett has a super cool YT channel). Kallie is a brilliant photographer as well as an incredible singer. Hope she gets back into music again someday. Jessy is just off the scale... and apparently still giving people goosebumps wherever she performs.
Rick Beato brought me here. Waiting to hear a clean studio acoustic version of "down by the riverside" without the harmonizing in the beginning. Do it the way you did it in your demo tape with Rick. Just with Ricks guitar playing the intro and you girls singing with the bass kick drum and maybe real claps and a shaker. Pls don't overdo it with too many instruments. Keep it sparse. Do it just the way its on your demo tape with Rick Beato, and you will be good to go. You have nothing to lose. Just go for it girls. Think of this as advice from up above from the good Lord through yours truly.
Thanks Rick Beato

Me too!!! Rhett has such a great tone on this. Juicy and gritty. Perfect for the tracks. Those voices though........ Oh my.

@@swm-sm6cu it is no accident like he said some times awesome artists get side lined until the right people come along
The authenticity of Muddy Magnolia's music, melts all of the plastic songs back to oil.
How come this video has only 342 views in almost 3 years? It's a shame for such a beautiful piece of art.

Wow. Great stuff. Those ladies can sing. Great voices. Not enough music like this around these days. Thanks
These ladies are awsome. They deserve massive HITS.

My new favorite female vocalists thanks to Rick Beato
Here because Rick Beato mentioned them in a video. What an amazing gem. I want a CD! You ladies are amazing.
Sweet chemistry. 👍
Oh, what a treat to see/hear Rhett Schull as the session guitarist!!!!

Heard them on a video by Rick Beato. They sound great together. I wonder what they are doing now.
Another Beato view. Awesome sound!
Rick is correct , it is most likely that the best music ever written has never even been heard

Rick Beato told us about you and the song he wrote with you, Down by the Riverside. I love it. Should have been a commercial hit.
Great session! Rhett on guitar....so good.
Work it, Rhett!
Really a shame these ladies aren't together anymore!

The demo version is available on their TH-cam page now as well as on spotify, apple music, and itunes.
Awesome!! You have such beautiful and amazing talent!🤩😊
Totally agree. I was hoping to find that version on here. It was perfect to my ears.
Pure silk.....
There are good.
The band is really tight in concert. Rhett Shull's guitar is a plus to the record sound.
Oh man this was good!
Rhett Shull!
Who are the players?
Very "bluesy".
