@@danocinneide1885 you’re confused - the Lions isn’t about an English or Scottish national symbol- the Lion represents the tenacity and supposed ferocity of all the players as one cohesive unit on the pitch and the idea of putting aside national differences and achieving success
@@chrisbaxter3597 incorrect: "Lions" is a symbol of GB, and of the British Empire....it has nothing to do with Ireland, whose national symbol (among others) is the Wolfhound..
@@matthewburgess5070 no that’s how Saffers played it - it was a mind set - win at any costs the antithesis of ruby - hence culturally low - a sense born out of their apartheid regime - that everyone hates us - so we’ll do em at any cost
I seem to remember that the lions came up with the 99 call back in 74. You obviously havent met any nice South Africans thats a shame. They a fantastic team. 1997 the Lions deserved it. As for apartheid we all know it was terrible. Nothing to do with rugby tho imo
@@matthewburgess5070 why did the Lions come up with the 99 call ? because they were being brutalised off the ball and the officials were ignoring it - it was a necessity and self defence- you clearly know very little about rugby , and to answer you question honestly, no I have never met a Saffer I liked
is there a full video of this game somewhere?
The pitch just says ouch
Surely it should be Ireland versus The British lions...?
What?
What are you talking about? - it is the British and Irish Lions
@@chrisbaxter3597 There is no such national symbol as irish "Lions"..that is strictly British..Irelands symbol (among others) ..= Wolfhounds...

Shocking tackles by Saffers - late , round the throat - deliberate knees in after tries - low culture, low tactics
That was how rugby used to be played... Not sure where the low culture comment comes from?
Allways that one idiot
