Is it just me or does Coach O make me really excited about the upcoming season. Everything he says and the way he acts, shouts the Penn State way. I already love this guy.
At first I wasn't sold on Coach O'Brien, but the more I hear him speak and the more I learn about his approach to the program the more I get excited for the 2012 season! I mean when is the last time you couldn't wait to see the offense play?
I love Coach O! I'm a Michigan Man but dang I'm happy for Penn State. I can't wait to see what is going to grow out of the ashes of the old. Penn State needed a fresh start regardless of the scandal and as morbid as this may sound, it may end of helping this program in the long run. Hopefully Penn State has learned from Michigan's mistakes. You can't guarantee success, but in-fighting and a lack of unification can guarantee failure. A unified base of support has to be of utmost priority.
We will always miss our Joe-Pa but looking forward, we also pray for Coach O'Brien and his staff and hope for healing and nothing but the very best in the years to come.
Keep deleting my comments, but it won't make O'Brien a good hire. No Penn State connection. No head coaching experience. He is, at best, a "placeholder" until we get a real head coach. At least he essentially missed one of the most important recruiting periods in the last 10 years because he wasn't on the job yet. Wait till he throws more of our traditions to the side, including our tradition of winning.

I hope coach O'Brien is here a long time.
