One of the best things about our Constitution (in my opinion) is that it requires or gives only 2 weeks to form a government after an election and where there is a proportional system that we have. The worst thing could be the kind of time given to political parties in Europe to form their coalitions.

      @mikesham3204 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@Anonuser1895 @MediaCentre-cy1tf @mthulisidube5502 The issue of Mashatile and Lesufi is obviously in play. Lesufi would not be behaving the way he is if Mashatile hasn't sanctioned it. The ANC always gets itself into trouble by appointing a deputy president from the opposite faction. This attempt at unity always ends up in a bad outcome for the ANC.
Think of Zuma as deputy to Mbeki, Ramphosa as deputy to Zuma and now Mashatile as deputy to Ramaphosa.
We are in a honeymoon period but the Mashatile faction will poke the bruise until the ANC has to make a choice. This could derail the GNU project, but it could also spell the end of the ANC as I don't believe that the ANC carries the political capital it used to have to survive another public death battle. The only question is whether this will happen at the next ANC elective conference in 2027 or if it will happen before then.

I have read that the ANC MP’s are worried that their coalition partners in the GNU are starting to already show them up by doing a more competent and diligent job in the positions given to them by President Ramaphosa. South Africans will be looking at the performance of the various departments and which political parties lead them ! This will most definitely influence the outcome of next elections in 5 years time as has happened in 2024. Also the EFF and those parties which also have disruptive and dividing politics (which have added to their declining appeal to the vast majority of people in SA )will also see the consequences of their wrongdoings for the good of this country continue in being relevant for sure.

    • @Tebogo16v

Every party declined. The DA also declined in overall numbers. The growth percentage wise because of the low voter turnout.
The ANC under ramaphosa is dividing itself. Ramaphosa won't last in the 2027 elective congress if the anc continues to loose support in the next municipal elections in 2026.
The ANC doesn't need the DA to be in government. The mk anf eff party's are more popular than the DA. If ramaphosa is gone I personally don't see this da and anc coalition lasting.
The eff is a necessary voice in South Africa. Alot of what they saying is true in my opinion.I personality dislike many DA parties like scrapping nsfas, scrapping minimum wage etc.
Looking at the ministries, the DA is in control of ministries that aren't very visible.agriculcuture and public infrastructure. Most voters might not notice any policy changes here. Or even feel them in their day to day life. Gwarube seems to be having the Bela bill over her head. With the support of the unions and prominent politicians pushing it. I think ramaphosa will sign it.
Looking at this election it is clear that black people would rather not vote then vote DA. The huge looses for the anc was because of mk and pa then the DA.
The moonshootpact failed to even get 27 percent.
The ANC has one last chance to do good. If they don't take it. More factions will brake away and kill the anc even more

Lesufi is the face of corruption. Using racism charges as a smokescreen. We see him. Rhamaphosa is like TV homicide detective Columbo who uses his humble ways and ingenuous demeanor to winkle out what is on the go and the way out. A bit like Zuma as well. Which means he knows and is wary of Lesufi, Paul and other MK Trojans.

I think that Trump and Zuma they are geniuses at building their cults and deserve the credit for doing this devious work. If it was that easy to do, all politicians would do it but they don't have the skills to do it. Underestimate Trump and Zuma at your peril.

Nho, Ramaphosa is nothing but a swindler man, 😅😂.
I think the success of the coalition depends on who has what, if I was an entrepreneur and my products in the market during the duration of the coalition do well _ that would be success, same as the poo that runs in streets of poor communities is gone during this coalition, that would be success, the job numbers etc.
The electricity issue I think loadshedding was just mischievous management and wrong appointments otherwise the skill has been there to get it under control.
For me the best coalition would have been between DA and Eff but they don't have numbers, mainly because whatever would be implemented would be as a consequence of strong lobbying and discussions and compromise, this coalition is a Capitalists agenda, nothing else.

The MK will get stronger, it is getting more backing, and will do well on LGE, and is building strong.
You needed intellectuals in Parly, so MK can strategies and talk with information. Dr Hlophe is best to lead MK in Parly, & learn the political ropes from Zuma.

Funny how Cronje doesn't mention the methods the ANC employed to attain those figures under Mbeki. Yes, it looks nice on paper, but was done behind the scenes, could well be one of the corner stones of the fall of the country.

I hope the interviewer is a multi millionaire as he like positioning himself as the face of business... But by just mere review, he's not shrewd enough to run any successful business that can qualify to be called "the business community". A class issue is a real thing. Is not what you aspire to be. If you not in those boardroom that where Rand shifting decisions are made my guy you just a wannabe spectator.

The interviewer is a normal oke with a normal life. By your judgment my shrewdness leaves a lot to be desired, so I will leave it to senior board members at large corporations who have never started a business or taken a risk to represent business. I will just, luckily enough, be able to ask the right questions despite my lack of "shrewdness".
I am just a sad wannabe spectator.
