Thanks for this demo! Based on this video, I’m buying this rack!
Very thorough and complete! I borrowed one from a dear friend that really didn’t have enough understanding to explain it. You have totally taken care of that problem.
Thank you. Well done. Just installed my rack and there were a couple things I could not figure out.
My wife and I also purchased the Pivot in oder to load & unload our hatchback without taking the bikes off the rack.
these reviews are 🔥🔥
So glad this helped!
Nice video ty
Great review mate!
I really like the KUAT bike carrier. I live in Germany. That's why the mount doesn't match the standard that is usual in Germany. Another disadvantage, at least for me, is that the bike carrier is not foldable. I often park in underground garages with little space when I'm on vacation. Stowing the bike carrier in the trunk would solve the problem. Other manufacturers do this better. Nevertheless, the carrier is a great product. If I lived here in the States, it would be at the top of my list. Maybe there will be an update to the carrier for German bikers in the near future. It would be nice😉🙋♂️
This must be one of the most easy to understand KUAT reviews I've seen!
KUAT is available in Sweden although the retailers are hard to find. In Sweden, as in most of Europe, if not all of Europe, cars and pick-up truck use a ball hitch instead of the US 2" square hole hitch + receiver. Maybe the racks are rebuilt by the retailer, but regardless, KUAT would know about this and therefore have a European style rack for review? I would almost pay extra for such a review of this caliber to understand how the racks differ in terms of installing, securing, locking bikes and so on.
Could you look into this and reply?
Regards from Sweden.
Also, I think that the US customers would appreciate to learn about how we do it over here.
This is a very detailed video and very helpful in making a decision whether this will work for my specific application.
Glad you think so!
Will this fit on a 2022 Highlander with a factory installed receiver?
Can you replace the trays on the rack or remove one tray if you only have one bike?
On these two models, can you remove the inner bike without removing the outer bike?
Hi, i have a Trek 3 ebike, I take it this won't work do to the bikes fenders? Thx!😊
I have 2 Trek Marlin E-bikes that fit no problem
It works with fenders
It would be much better if you would also include measurements...
If you want to make sure this will fit your vehicle, we can definitely compare your measurements of your hitch clearance and vehicle to one of our displays in store! either call us or check out rackattack.com to find your local retailer with our 'Find my Store' option in the top right
I like that these are more secure than the Thule ones. The thule is just friction fit and then locked. This one actually has a pin that is locked.
Would it be too much of a hassle to remove this on a use by use basis? Install it when you need it and remove after? It seems easy enough to mount and dismount to the hitch.
This is an easy rack to mount, so using it and removing it when needed will not be a problem. Just ensure when you put it on and off that you are careful to line everything up so the knob isn't stripping when used often, and you will be good to go!
