My Braunability 2021 Toyota had multiple pieces of interior trim misaligned. Very sloppy fit and finish, contrary to Braunability’s quality marketing claims. To their credit, these pieces were replaced and properly re-installed. The passenger side Braunability lower door extension did not meet up with the weatherstripping, leaving a hole to the outside, with resultant road noise. Braun screwed a small piece of metal to their door extension to close up the hole. There is something wrong with the engineering design of the door opening/door extension that caused this problem, the screwed on piece of metal fixes the problem by patching it up. I guess this is the result of their “55,000 engineering design hours” that they advertise. Braunability also kindly replaced the weatherstripping which was poorly installed. So they have made a reasonable effort at correction, but buyer beware of the poor quality of their work. Now I have noticed that some of their lowered floor steel has already begun to show surface rust after 3 months of use. Appears the paint has been poorly/thinly applied. So that will be the next issue I have to deal with.
I get considerable road noise through the sliding doors doors, especially on the passenger side. It is not horrible, but disappointing considering Braunability claims of “quiet drive” and “improved” Toyota door seal. Overall, not a confidence inspiring experience with my new Toyota conversion.

I have a 2009 Sienna van, and I’m disappointed to see that you still haven't fixed the obvious problem with the ramp. The metal end tends to dig in rather than slide along many surfaces when opening, which then triggers the ramp to retract. It would be so simple for you to attach a Delrin skid to the end of the ramp on the underside so that it would skate across the surface instead of digging in. Inside the vehicle, the sharp edges of the ramp sides can easily cut an unwary passenger's skin. Why aren't these covered in a layer of rubber protection?

Does BaunAbility offer modification service? I do have a Sienna and look forward to modified as a Wheelchair accessible vehicle, but have no idea which modifier I should go

I used to work at braun ability, they arent what they seem. I broke my ankle had surgery, they gave me 6 weeks of non paid leave, made me return otherwise lose my job then, didnt give me a relaxed job (which I was trained in 5 stations), some are very easy 1. A diagnostics on a computer. 2. A wash bay. 3. Fluid station. 4. Decal station. And they had me inside cleaning vehicles on my hands and knees bending my ankles with steel toed boots. I limped for a month trying to preform my duties to the best of my ability, they let me go. I lost a lot, and if more people knew they might not be interested in buying an expensive vehicle from someone who doesn’t truly believe in what they say they stand for.

@@MoxeyCat Buy any used Tesla model X, remove the seat behind the driver, and attach either a L-shaped, 180-turn, arm-lift ($1200new) or a van side-door platform lift($350new). Can be done for $30k to 40k.

God, that thing is HIDEOUS! The body sits way too tall and there is too much space in the wheel wells. The fenders you put on the door have ZERO style, just a fat ugly rectangle attached to the door. The 2008 conversion at least had stylish side pieces with curves to it. And wowww, that console looks butchered just sticking out in the middle. Really disappointed in Toyota and Braun with the horrible styling. I'll be keeping my 2008 until something better comes out.

I agree. That's about the worst looking pos that I could imagine.
The console/shifter is just garbage in the way.

These wheelchair modified vans, the hybrid versions are fugly! All jacked up, in a bad way. Screw the hybrid, I'll stick with the gas powered version if it looks more normal. Why do I have to drive a stupid looking vehicle?
