Maybe it”s the appearance of everyone has one on social media, but most responsible people work and save for these things, they aren’t just bought after payday. Handbags and other luxury items are extras. If you are able to purchase such items in your 20s that’s awesome, as long as you are paying yourself first! It can’t be stressed enough. Wear your handbag in good health!

Birkin 30, Kelly 25, Roulis 18, I’d be more than happy with those. I can understand your husband’s opinion because classics often look rather boring; their longevity lays in that particular fact. The money question is always hard but I know many people who’ll spend $800 USD plus a month on paying back a car loan for several years because they want something more luxurious but would balk at saving that amount each month for a bag. Same with luxury holidays/vacations. We all splurge somewhere but we all save from other areas in our lives which is not always obvious. This was so great Hannah, thanks for sharing.

H is publicly traded but the family owns the majority of the shares. But yes, bc they're not owned by LVMH/Kering/Richemont, they're able to focus more on the brand's craftsmanship.

Hi! Thank you!! I bought a few bracelets, the mini Evelyne, scarves and belt, in that order. Those were the items I bought before my Birkin and then I bought a few other items after. I would say I shopped pretty slowly over a 3-4 year time span leading up to the Birkin and I never in my wildest thoughts believed that I would ever want or even be offered a Birkin, so it was a nice twist of events! To be honest, I know there’s so much hype around the Birkin and I get it, but I actually love some of my other Hermès items more. ❤️
The bag is stunning. 😍😍 But be careful about put the toggle plates into your brackets like that. I did that to my birkin and it made a deep scratch. Hermes wanted to charge me $1000+ to replace the toggle plates as there are no way to buff it out. 😫

I answered both of these questions in the video. No, my SA doesn’t know I’m a TH-camr. In fact, not many people in my personal life even know. Yes, the preloved version of my exact bag was close to double the retail price. I elaborate further in the video. Hope this helps.
