Looks like a great exercise! I am a big proponent of training pull ups myself, you gain a ton of grip strength, pull strength, and it seems to help with spinal stability too from how its stretches and locks out your back. I'll have to try out the Tiger press a bit now after watching this!
It's normally called the Hindu pushup. They've been doing it for 3000 years or more. hey also do Hindu squats- you come up in your toes as you lower your body. wrestlers in India do both in sets of 100 or more.
