I would like to make a few minor edits and notes because sometimes the words that come out of my mouth are not what I actually mean. 2:15 a specific variable (sv) can be any lowercase letter excluding x, y, and e. I accidentally said `z` once when I meant `e`. `z` works just fine as a sv 4:18 I meant you're not allowed to use an *infinite* variable with a tilde. Not sure why I said specific variable. 9:22 the reason we get an error is not because Desmos is automatically putting y= before the y to get y=y. Like I said right before this, Desmos will only put y= before something if it's a polynomial/monomial that only has the infinite variable x. Since we have just a y there, Desmos thinks we're trying to make the 3rd category of visual graphs, but we don't have an = so it just shows us an error. 10:27 I don't know why I said a function is "non-visual." I meant that it's both visual and referenceable.
BRO PLEASE GIVE US MORE OF THIS SIDE OF DESMOS😭🙏. My sat exam is after 3 days n this is the first good video that actually talks about regression in desmos. We need more of this.
@@abhinavkarthik7013 its explained in the last part of his video. just use a standard equation of the polynomial, line, exponential, etc, and then u could use a table and viola I might as well mention that I had a good base in math, I would suggest learning some of the concepts with khan academy first.
@@stare4539 it is generally easier to get higher score on math than reading, especially when you get to the 700+ or 750+ range easier to max 800 math than to max 800 reading too

@ module 1 of eng was fantastic module 2 was too lengthy and i did made guesses. Math mod 1 likewise super easy and missed 1 question on module 2 because I forgot how to use desmos for that particular question 😭 how did you do ?
i feel like an important feature that you missed is that when you use the function table, replacing y with f(x) and inputting a specific equation with no unknowns allows you to find any value of f(x)
I'll definitely cover that in later videos. I think of Desmos as a tree. I really wanted to cover the fundamentals (in the format I wish I learned it), and branch out after this video. My goal was to give you something that the other videos don't: the WHY behind how Desmos works. Hope this helps.
Nearly all questions can be solved faster with Desmos. Don't listen to those videos that tell you otherwise. All the problems they say are easier by hand are usually not. I'll be posting more soon
