It’s a real value for money car. With 300Nm of torque, it feels very smooth & powerful. This Proton drives like a continental car rather than a Japanese.

its just so quiet in the X70. i was taken by surprised with the quietness, even on sport mode. handling and braking are good too. door panel and internal door handle is real solid (pull it hard and door panel still rigid and not flexing unlike certain Japanese car that i tried). It has a conti feel to it.

It a real value buy apart from FC and spare part shortage issues.

did you heard a whistling sound once speed more than 140 and above? mine model x70 1.5T got that sound. refers to SC they said certain unit have the annoyed sound but no solution for this...hmmm...hadap jer la!!!
I did do such speed so I can’t judge. But above 140 have wind noise is common. If your car happened to be still silent on that speed then consider your car is very well insulated

Ok. it still depends on what is your priority choices. E.g. Refinement, Handling, Power, Comfort, Features etc. What I can advise here is, if you are more into driving dynamics (Power, Handling will be the main choice) then CRV is a more engaging drive than the X70. But If you are more to comfort oriented, then the X70 is the choice. It has better overall NVH, better ride comfort, comfy seats and more features to play with. Other than that the CRV is more expensive and it is more spacious at the same time. Depends on your personal preference.

They are pretty comparable. If you wanted me to nick pick I will give the X70 on the better side.
This dct version... Your should try previous gear box.... It's day and night different 😅
Ya so far DCT has the quickest gear change off all transmission.
Test drove the CRV, Tiguan Life, 3008 & X70. All I can say is that the X70 shits all over the CRV in terms of ride quality, and it's right up there with the Tiguan although the 3008 feels marginally better coz it's a bit quieter. The X70's panoramic sunroof is better than the one in the 3008, because the X70 still has plenty of headroom after accommodating the sunroof mechanism.
Despite the price, there is absolutely nothing cheap about the X70 at all.... although I find that 'missile lock warning' alarm sound when you open the door a bit annoying.

X50. I dislike sitting too high. And X50 is much more sportier. But X70 is bigger and much more premium. Personal preference.

Bro can't comment much, so far I haven't own a model yet. Any existing owner can share their experience here? But i think sometimes we might met some situation that is not favor to us in all kind car after sales services. We just need to get to find the better one or other alternative.
@@AnthonyLoh but it would be crazy for Proton not to take this opportunity to build on the success that they having now. Do highlight this to Proton.
I guess if their after sales service already bad there are certainly complaint to their SC or event HQ from the customer. Btw I think with all the comments in available social media Proton certainly will get noticed.
Proton salesman promised me to deliver the car in a month time. Now its coming to the 2nd month of waiting. Sold my car, hoping to get the x70 soon. And now proton salesman postponed the car to the 3rd month, giving excuses like production is slow due to covid and everything will be delayed. How to go to work without transport? Cant afford Grab everyday.
The moral of the story is: Proton has improved in their product quality, but not in customer service. If they cant make customer satisfied in the first place by giving false hope and inconvenience, what more sales after service?

Tested x70...very good handling too....unfortunately fuel consumption very high at 60L
This is a big SUV with 1.8Turbo charge engine and 19inch rims. So we can't expect it be too petrol efficient.
if wan petrol efficiency, buy it smaller version x50

Masa test drive I tak dengar ada apa weird bunyi. To me this is a best buy. Setiap pembelian kereta pun ada risikonya. Kena tengok luck juga. Services and support jugak penting.

I regretted got x70, after driven for 1month plus, dashboard rattling.. noise insulation also bad, same like any other protons
@@bbqqreen wow is that so? Do you go to SC to fix your dashboard rattling issue? Btw the sound insulation shouldn't be different on each car. I find it quite good tho.
@@AnthonyLoh already complaint to my salesman and sent to service centre, they said its normal noise which i cannot accept. A new car shouldnt have rattling dashboard.. regarding the sound insulation not good, he just told me its same for every x70 so the service technician also cant help..
@@bbqqreen I believe there are still good SC out there to reach for. But first of all the issue need to genuine which happened only on your car but not others same model car which should be fixable.

X50 lebih canggih dari segi technology sebab ia adalah platform and model terkini. Tapi X70 tetap satu segment atas X50. Kalau nak kereta lebih besar X70 masih pilihannya. Ikut requirement seseorang 😄
