Great video! You have a knack for pointing out the little things in player's skillsets and development that a lot of others don't touch on. I've never heard anyone talk about a 'timing based finisher' I know you've mentioned Jalen Williams as a touch/length based finisher, which compensates for his lack of broad jumping. What are the other different types of finishers and their upsides/downsides?
thank u for the kind words! i don't think there is a best type of finisher/finish, i suppose the best would be a player with all kinds, explosive finishes, touch, craft, etc
Im not sure if he cares, but monty williams could avoid many headaches by just putting really talented players on the floor and letting them be talented.
I'm not gonna go that far but he reminds me of watching Randy Moss Like Moss, Ivey has this ability to accelerate into another gear as he passes the defender's shoulder even though he's going full speed. I can't recall ever applying the phrase "if he's even, he's leavin" to a basketball player before but it's the best way to describe Ivey. Wade is probably the most similar guy to Ivey as far as basketball players.
so refreshing to see. you don’t know how difficult it is for me as a pistons fan to find authentic breakdowns of pistons players without the theme of the video being the creators backhanded compliments and belittling to the state of the roster lol.
I still think he can get better ofc I just thought the fox ja comparisons were always too lofty. They came in to the league as really good ball handlers with less to develop. Ivey could be better off the ball tho
@@arnellsmithhe’s talking specifically about the ball handling ability that players like fox and ja have that enable they’re transitions into the league to be a bit more seemless even tho the athletic profiles are the same

Would love to see a breakdown of this timberwolves game with Ivey

Ivey on the spurs would nice.
he's the craziest athlete ive ever seen. he has so much explosion on each step

Unfortunately, he may never reach his potential in Detroit of avg 25+ / 8 Assists

The state of the roster is dogshit and as such should be belittled at every turn. #FireTroy

Please look at Fox rookie stats again💀
