    That umembossed amber square is probably a bitters. I found one last year with a cracked Hostetters, and my first Paines Celery. All local sodas, mostly Codds were broken, and few round bottom Hutchs. Found damaged Peacock whiskey. Loads of Chinese and ginger beers and master inks.

    I cannot believe the quality and age of that pit. Even the unembossed ones are an upscale find. My favorite bottle was that really neat green bottle with the twists. Great video.

    HEY TAYLOR , YOU ARE BRINGINNG A NEW “LEVEL” TO DIGGING COLLECTABLE BOTTLES ON you -TUBE . I’VE BEEN WATCHING THESE VIDEOS FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW UNTIL FINALLY DISCOVERING YOURS RECENTLY . IF THERE WERE AN ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN you - TUBE VIDEOGRAPHY THERE WOULD CERTAINLY BE NO DOUBT WHO THE FIRST WINNER WOULD BE . I’M ( STILL ) LOOKING FOR YOU TO SUPRISE ME WITH THAT ELLUSIVE COKE BOTTLE SOMEDAY ! HAVE YOU BEEN GETTING OUT THERE LATELY WITH THE COLDER WEATHER ? IT SEEMS LIKE SUCH A PRIME OPPORTUNITY FOR THE BOTTLE DIGGER TO GET OUT THERE WITHOUT BEIING HASTENED BY ALL THE SEVERE HEAT AND SWEAT POURING OFF INTO YOUR CAMERA LENS …LOL . I KNOW I’VE HEARD BILL LADD SAY HE’S “NOT GOING TO LET SNOW STOP HIM.” BUT THEN TOO , I ROMANTICIZE WHIST I’M ALL COMFORTABLE IN THE TEXAS 80 DEGREES WINTER WEATHER . I SURE WISH I WERE THERE ALONG WITH YOU ON A DIG . GOTTA PUT THAT ONE ON “MY BUCKET LIST.” PLEASE KEEP THE DIGGING GOING and THE CAMERA ROLLING BECAUSE IT’S GETTING VERY REDUNDANT WATCHING THE OLDIES OVER AND OVER …hint hint . hey to you taylor , I’M A FAN , kevynsmith .

    You found some terrific bottles there. 1890s dumps are great and fun to dig. I have a couple myself. Very nice video but you should have some cool music playing towards the end when you show your finds. We just watch in silence instead. Keep making more vids and good luck.

    Great video! I've only found one dump in all my years. It dated to the late 1800s and bulldozers had wiped most of it out. I managed to find a few bottles but not much. I would love to find more. I post arrowhead hunting vids if you are interested. Look forward to see what you find next. Subscribed!

    That is awesome what do you look for to locate an old dump

    • @RIBottleguy
      @RIBottleguy  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are almost always signs of a dump on the surface. In this video I was looking near some old houses, and saw a lot of ash and glass shards on the surface. It was so obvious I was amazed nobody had dug it yet!

    I found that exact Hostetter's bottle on a sand bar while kayaking. 90 proof "medicine". What era does it date from?

    • @RIBottleguy
      @RIBottleguy  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd have to see a picture, Hostetters Bitters were manufactured from the 1860s to the 1920s. The ones I dug here are from the 1890s.

    • @RIBottleguy

      I rarely find KY bottles besides the occasional super common whiskey (like S. Crabfelder). If I do come across any though I'll let you know.

      I'd like to try that sometime, but I only have a digital camera and not a ton of memory, and my computer doesn't have the capacity to hold video files that large. I can try to take longer videos though!
