      @AdventureAir are we required to watch immediately upon release, (about 3a.m. L) or can we wait until a more humane time? (Sarcasm)

    I have some questions. (1) What is the insurance cost (approx.) to operate a gyro? (2) Can you ground transport a gyro on a trailer for example to and from your home? (3) Are there scheduled, phase, or calendar inspections on the gyro? (4) What is the approx. cost per operating hour? I like your tire chaser. Does that come standard or is it an option when purchasing a gyro?...Lol. Thanks, Henry.

      1. About $2000 a year depending on the carrier. 2. Yes. Jeremy is going to Florida next month to pick up two new gyros. 3. There are inspections based on hours, as well as an annual. 4. With current fuel costs, about $65-75 an hour.

      These were my questions as well.
      When I was calling for quotes about 3 years ago the insurance was closer to $5,000/year for full ground and in-flight hull insurance on a $100,000 ship.
      For reference,
      I have 1600 hours in military rotorcraft (UH-60) and 200 hours in single engine land (Cesna)with commercial and instrument for both and it was still that expensive!
      It was also hard to find an insurance company that covered gyro's.
      Who do you recommend?

    Maintenance: Are there any life-limited parts and if so what are the costs to replace and often?

    • @AdventureAir
      @AdventureAir  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Rotors, 2500 hours, $5000; most Rotax engines are 2000 hours. 20-30k depending on engine; props, 2000 hours, $2200 at least.. that's about it..

    Great video and questions….have you created any videos on helmets and headsets for these. Asking primarily about open cockpit aircraft. Looking for something I can use to for gyros and paramotors. Never been very happy with my microavionic set so would want to replace during my lesson phase.

      In my experience, Litespeed ANR works better than Bose in loud environments. I love my A20s, but performance speaks.
