I really appreciate you sharing this because a lot of times I shop based on price. However, unless it's something that I just love, I usually don't buy items that have less than a 4 star rating.

My grandmother got a random kit off of Amazon and she's been having such a hard time with it thinking she just needs more practice. I am going to send this video link to her. And I'm going to send it to my sister because she keeps telling me "all of them are the same exact thing, just different labels" - oh no no no sister LOL. I just ordered my first kit from Revel. And now I'm looking at other dips from different companies you have used in your videos, I just want quality product from the get-go. What a horrible company to double the price of poorly made product. When i saw that brush was melted, i wouldn't put that liquid near my nails. Thanks for putting this video out. There are a lot of people buying nail kits, and the need to be informed.

I am glad you released this video. I don't totally trust Amazon reviews because one like you mentioned someone might not know 'how to use the product' so they give bad reviews and also I know there are a lot of girls that get the products for free in return for a 5 star review. I know Amazon has tried to stop this but it still happens. I was banned a few years ago to do Amazon reviews even though I have NEVER been paid for one. I only did reviews for products I purchased with my own money for myself. Amazon tried to do a big sweep of people and I got caught in the net or something. 🤷🏻♀️ So it's nice to hear an honest review. Especially if it could help some person not lose their hard earn money just because they want pretty nails. 😔
I’m sorry about your bad experience with that company. Lots of the dip powder companies are doing this increase in price on amazon especially Modelones! The prices in some cases have tripled and I just bought these products just a few short months ago😡I was so disgusted and complained to Amazon. I actually have a lot of modelones dip powders and sets and probably won’t be buying again... as for your videos thank you so much for all your hard work mama bear we love you and your videos! I hope that you and yours are safe during these terrible times. Btw Congrats on your subscribers!!! I had been off TH-cam for a while since all this started we had such craziness here in New York as I’m sure everyone everywhere experienced but I was so pleased to see how much you have grown you definitely deserve it❤️❤️❤️💅🏼

Thank you for posting this. I can tell how conflicted you were about putting up something negative (and I love that about you) BUT you should be thinking of it as a PSA for all of those gals and guys stuck at home right now desperate for a kit they can use at home. It’s not negative at all, it’s a generous and honest gift to those looking to get started and not allowing them to get bamboozled! If this had been my first attempt, I’d have given up in tears thinking it was just me.

Too many people just sell sell sell and all I want to do is get honest opinions on good products I can use to help myself feel good on bad days. This is why I love you and I watch every damn upload. Especially now, this video is great! I started doing my own dip back in January, watched a ton of CREDIBLE videos from real people for the best and safest products because of scam artists like this, and of course how to’s.YOUR work is valuable, don’t stop!!! 💜 I stopped buying from amazon because of their lack of control on the platform, I now buy directly from companies and email them them first to test their CS service skills, if a human responds who speaks proper English, then you know, I give them a try!

Thankyou for this it’s really helped I’ve been using tomicca dipping kits for over a year and I’ve never had any problems with it. I hope they take it down after looking at the first bottle where the brush had melted they could be dangerous on actual nails ☺️☺️☺️

Thank you for your review. This video was done at the beginning stages of the quarantine (when we all likely thought it would only last a few weeks). I am an untrained, non-professional, nail enthusiast as well, and truth be told, I noticed that Amazon prices for ALL nail products (monomer, acrylic, gel, glue, efiles, uv lamps, etc.) increased substantially during quarantine, and I was appalled as well. A basic efile I had purchased for $16 in January was suddenly $32 (and it was not at all worth that price), a $25 uv lamp was suddenly $45, monomer was through the roof. Supply and demand, i guess. I was both annoyed and disgusted that companies would use such an emotionally and financially difficult time to price gouge and profit grab, BUT MANY/MOST DID. Unfortunately, however, it was not only nail companies on this greed band wagon, but also any personal care/hygiene products company (i.e., hair removal/waxing products, etc.). Suffice it to say, I no longer buy from these companies at all, and have opted to stick with those brands who maintained ethical practices AND PREMIUM, CUSTOMER FOCUSED SERVICE throughout the crisis. Hopefully, companies will take note that all profits do not represent good profit, especially when gained at the expense of sustained customer loyalty and relations. Thanks again for your solid review.

I seen good reviews for shady companies on Amazon like Morovan. Who would send the best and make sure it’s perfect for popular TH-camrs. It’s super disheartening to purchase an item that’s totally trash and a waste of money!
Money is hard to come by! Having the chance to do my nails is very therapeutic for me. It’s always been a ritual for my grandmother and I. I myself love to do my nieces nails. Yes, I would spend a little more for product to have the chance to do my nails. To see those tiny jars and applicators so small for $39 dollars is outrageous! And them upping the price I would’ve never known. Thank you for bring awareness i was going to buy a couple more dip powders, since I notice a price increase this week because of the holidays coming. I don’t know if I should buy now or wait? Hmm. I definitely going to watch a video review before buying. Thank you again
If you haven’t tried beetles dip kits, I’d highly recommend them. You’re so right.. it down right pisses me off. But there are some good ones. Beetles and modelones are my 2 Amazon faves.

Hey late to the party. I just got this video in my suggested feed and figured I would watch. First I want to say I thought I was the only DYIer that thought doing their own nails was therapeutic. Its really hard to explain to others how relaxing it is when I'm doing my nails. Second I too have also noticed a spike in the pricing. The color kits I usually get from my favorite brand has gone from $16 to $25, and I gotta say I'm really disappointed in them.

One thing I do know about Morovan is there a polygel kits are the best always use them always the dip powder kits are great I use those as well never had a problem always have used them always will use their powder dip kits i love the Mirovan brand

Thank you for your honesty. I am very new to dipping and always want to hear the good and the bad, in the long run it will save me time and money. That said, have you tried GH Dip from amazon?
I’d still return it. Box it up, choose UPS drop off, and set it out and wait for UPS to deliver something. They will take it for you. Pretty sure that’s normal and not a favor bc he’s becoming practically family. 🤣 I think a lot of Amazon merchants bank on the fact that you won’t bother getting the money back. I’ve seen lots of reviews about various items that are counterfeit so they make me nervous about buying some things, on top of the price gouging and now taking 3-4 weeks to deliver a Prime item.

Have you tried the Lavender Violet products? I’m still waiting on my Kiara Sky kit but need to fix my nails ASAP and I heard not bad things about them.
I need tht baby blue sparkle dip so pretty.ps that clear with the i think gold dots on ur nail like tht alot I love gold wht dip is tht..I can't believe they raised price 100% did it to take advantage so sad. For the price it's at now ladies mite aswell hit up the other nail company's she recommends. Rivel, Peppi, Rossi, sparkle&co, Panda now Triple D she just reviewed aswell just to mention a few. Many better places to shop nd they are all bout just nails its great. I purchased my first kit from rival cause of marla nd one other girl katenail think it was, let me say did not disappoint on bit. Waiting on my peppi kit to try ther liquids I have a lil shopping prob nd cause she likes them lol. I highly recommend RIVEL ther decent price between the ones I mentioned high quality. The 5 oz jars are perfect size nd price. Take her advice she knows the scoop. Love u nd ur vids girl

Hi. What was so bad about the result?....and many of the companies have raised their prices since the lock down. Sad.
FashionSense518 the end result LOOKED fine - but the “acrylic” isn’t supposed to bend like that. This would have lasted MAYBE a couple days before snapping my nail. Not good.
I am thinking of this acrylic kit a loong time ( not dip) but it was too expensive ( 24€) to me,so i found it for 10€ per kit. I am very curious how it is. If its bad,its ok. I then use it as pigment or for flowers / 3d work on top of the nails
I’m not at all confident in their acrylic but please report back when you have a chance to play with it! ❤️
Beetles went up too on their gel base and top coat, and Offly Fast too. I think ALOT of companies went up 😳 🤷🏻♀️🤔 but their products are good 🤷🏻♀️

I think price gouging is going on all over the place. I was going to purchase a tapestry from Walmart....nothing fancy.....price ran about $16.99.....went onto their website today and the same tapestries are now running $45.00 and up. It's sad....but this is capitalism at it's finest. As far as dip powders....I gave up on them a long time ago because they didn't give me the durability I was looking for so I jumped in and self taught myself how to do acrylics.....that was over 10 years ago.....now I'm learning how to do gels as well. It's sad that you had to put out good money for a product that wasn't worth it....but at least you wee honest in your opinion and let people know how their product worked. Maybe this will give them an incentive to improve their product????? Thank you for the info and the video....looking forward to your next video!

Starting out doing reviews i had the same issue, not good product for price but not long ago i did a review and honnestly i spent a week trying to get an answer why the kit jumped $25. Nothing from them! Good kit honnestly but it infuriated me. I was planning on putting a caution on the link in my video. But yes girl i put enailcouture out there a few months back and was pissed but freaked it would be like putting harm out there but being honnest it felt good after a day or two lol Look, your a nail artist and know what your talking about. So I bought this IND dipping powder kit in a proffesional store and I know it's a totally different brand but omg. Turn horrible. So started looking on the internet for reviews and it doesn't even pop up. Wonder if is also one of the worst ones.
Yep this one was pretty bad - one of the worst I’ve used. If you want a good alternative from amazon, try the beetles dip kits! They’re fantastic!
I'm blown away by the fact that Amazon doesn't hold these companies to a higher standard .. I've been sent some powder kits and given a straight up review and Amazon pulled it and shortly after I was blocked for doing reviews. Prior to that I had a five star rating, now I can't review anything. Then companies dropped me because I couldn't review in Amazon.. 💩 I'm like you .. I want to tell everyone " you should not to purchase this crap .. tfs this .. Jill

Thank you for this review. I have been looking for kits to send to my daughters. I will stay away from that one. Do you have any suggestions on good starter kids. I am fairly new to your channel and have lots of questions. The best base coat, can you use all powders with any base coat, do you use Aimeili gel top coat w/UV light on your powder dips as the final coat?
aaaantillon oh yes ma’am!! Tomicca dip kit on amazon is actually amazing! I’d also recommend the color club one from Walmart (if it’s still available) and the revel or peppi dip kits. All excellent. And yep - I use gel top coat over dip but y’all can use any top coat you prefer.. dip, gel, regular polish even!!
