Hey Natasha… if you want to keep your oven clean, put another piece of parchment paper over the bacon. It will cook exactly the same and still be crispy. Give it a try. Thanks!😊
Love your sense of humor! I’m going to try this method in our toaster oven with parchment paper on top too, to reduce the spatter on the oven heating elements. Thanks Natasha
Tried this last night for BLT`s at 400* and it was just crispy in 25 minutes. No splattering and cleanup was easy since the parchment absorbed most of the grease.Perfectly done with minimal shrinkage.
I do this, but I put raw bacon on cookie rack, which sits on lined cookie sheet. Bake it.. Then I strain the oil and fill up strained oil into mini cube tray, freeze the cubes, release the cubes and put frozen cubes into zip lock bag and freeze. Then I have little individual cubes of delicious bacon grease to use whenever I want.
I cook mine in the oven too. Instead of parchment paper, I use my broiler pan. I put the bacon on the top part of the pan, and the grease drips through the holes to the bottom part. Make sure to use the bake setting on your oven, not the broil setting.
I do it a little differently. I place foil on my baking sheet, lightly spray with Pam cooking spray, place bacon on sheet and place a piece of parchment paper down over the bacon. Cook at 400 degrees for 18-20. Then flip bacon over and cook another 3-5 minutes. I do it this way so bacon grease doesn’t splatter all over my oven.
I agree with adding a sheet to cover the bacon. That keeps your oven clean. I’d think twice about the foil on aluminum, unwanted chemical reaction possible.
@@nosamb yeah I would do parchment below and on top. Aluminum is linkes to alzheimers. Don't need to increase my risk! (although it seems like there's so many bad chemicals in everything now anyways!)
@@KellyWins look at us talking about keeping things healthy whilst the common thread is about the easiest way for COOKING BACON! Lol gotta love us conscientious cooks! Ha ha.

@@Natashaskitchen I cooked 2 pans of bacon yesterday morning in the oven and it turned out so crispy and everyone loved it. I also cooked pancakes on a griddle
Thank you so much for your video. There is a quicker way. Take 2 sections of a paper towel fold them over put three pieces of bacon. Now, take 2 sections of a paper towel one on top of the other and put that on top of the bacon. Put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Just a little crispy but cooked good. Enjoy. If you use thick bacon, you might have to double or triple the time.
I have been baking bacon using this method for years and I think it's the best way to make a great bacon, it is supper easy, no need to flip it, nothing, and gives always the best results.
Love your cooking videos so much!! I have made several of them and they are delish, and the fact you keep them simple is a big plus. Rarely make a complicated recipe. Thank you for sharing.

Cooking bacon in ovens is how Army cooks make bacon for the breakfast meal. Needing to make enough bacon, and quick enough, to feed a Battalion of soldiers, 1000 troops. Doing this every morning.
That was pretty funny drinking the grease 🤣 you crack me up. This is why I'm a big fan. You always make me feel good ☺️. Well, plus you're an excellent chef!!!
I love making bacon this way. It's soo good but a friend won't bcuz she says the bacon grease splatters and makes a mess of the oven. You gotta clean the oven eventually so that doesn't matter.
Cover with Parchment paper. Stops grease from splattering. Doesnt affect bacon at all. When it’s done remove bacon from standing grease. That’ll help keep it crisp. A little more into the prep for oven method once the task is done and then m the oven it’s hands off til you eat it. Air fryer is dope too!
Yes she saved the bacon grease !!!🙏 You don't want all that flavor to go to waste. Bacon grease is great for pan-roasting vegetables or if you like wilted cabbage with bacon flavor.
I line the baking sheet with foil. Then place a baking rack inthe pan and spread out the bacon strips on the rack. 35 minutes at 375° for thick cut. If you are making BLTs, cut the strips in half prior to cooking. Enjoy!

I do my bacon at 400* for around 12 to13 min. If you cut the bacon in half, while it's still in the packaging, it will shrink less. I have no idea why, but it shrinks less.
Watch the timing. If you are going to reheat the bacon, undercook it by a few minutes. Then, when you reheat it for your meal, it will be cooked to the correct amount of doneness and not overdone.
