I took this game to Mexico and one day my cousin (who was a top Mexican minor league prospect before he blew out his arm) walked in while this intro started and asked me to play it over and over about 5 times. I loved this intro so I didn't mind but that moment always stuck with me.. in a pre TH-cam era these kinds of video game intros with cool highlights and a catchy song were insanely cool. Another good one was the year FIFA had the Black and White Town intro. Definitely the top two in my opinion.
That Lo Duca catch sliding into the dugout doesn't get enough love. The distance he covered as a catcher in full gear to make that catch and then to have the heads up to make sure the runners didn't advance. 🤯
Such an underrated intro to any game ever. It’s stuck with me this 18 years later. The game was awesome too
I had this game when I was probably 7, played the hell out of it. I’m now 21 and will always be in love with it
@@codysmith9495 same here my dude. I played the absolute crap out of this game and still adore it
I’ll never get over that god tier throw by Vladimir Guerrero
Everytime i think of this song, i think of this intro, most iconic intro to any baseball video game ever
Best baseball game I've ever played, also the best intro for a baseball game
The greatest intro to any game ever made
Omg such a nostalgia kick
This was my baseball game, better than mlb the show or mvp.

Oh my god! The nostalgia is real my dudes 😂 My cousin and I would play this game for hours on end.
Me and my friend always did the random pick-up games.
I don't get why this intro isn't referenced more as the best ever. I remember this vividly 20 years later.
