The drinks package is very pricey so if you do buy it make sure you get your money worth. Jess and are not massive drinkers but when on holiday we like to enjoy ourselves. Watched this about 4 times now. Thank you for filming the assisted boarding. I have gone for this as I’m disabled and the thought of standing in that queue for any amount of time would kill me.
I go on Iona this weekend, was dreading the embarkation but feel a little better about the whole thing now.
Do you remember how long from getting in the terminal building to actually getting on Iona took ?

It took about 30 minutes in total, just make sure you arrive at your allotted time otherwise you will be asked to wait or come back.

Hey Angela, Thank you so much watching and commenting. This was a lovely message to see and read before bed tonight. Yes we had a fabulous cruise. We didn't want to get off. That's the only problem with going on holiday... the coming home again. Jess and I hope you have a lovely time onboard Iona, she's a massive beautiful ship. We have never cruised to the canary Islands before, but its on our list of cruises to do along with sailing across to America. I bet you cannot wait until your sailing. We are so jealous. We've been looking at the Arvia but it's currently out of our price range atm, but when it drops I'm sure we will book a trip on her. Have a lovely weekend.

We are sailing on Iona next November to the Canary Islands and we can't wait!! It will be or first time on Iona 😊 We've booked an inside cabin so I was very interested to see how you found it. It looks small but very well set out.

Always wanted to show Bulgaria to me. I loved it. Really nice place and people. That sailing sounds amazing. I love the Canary Islands. Inside cabin was great. It’s small but suitable for two people and you don’t spend too much time in there. A lot bigger when your actually see it in person. Hope that you have a great cruise in November ❤️ - Jessica xxx

We've also only been on 1 cruise before and that was in 2019, just before the pandemic... and the ship only held just over 1000! So Iona is going to be so much different and from what we've seen, really beautiful 😍 So excited already!

Mobility line? Happy to walk around Disney parks all day though
Yes, we was extremely happy to walk around the Disney parks. Expecially after paying a small fortune for it. What would be the point in paying thousands to walk around the Disney parks miserable as sin? Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
Some people with hidden disabilities don’t always need assistance however on days when they may be having a “flare up” its good to know the help is there. Never judge somebody else until you have walked a mile in their shoes.

There are people who suffer a lot of pain so they need to take it slowly but can walk with frequent stops. Also why should people with hidden disabilities miss out on days out holidays. We know know we will be in pain the day or even a few days later but hell we aint going to miss out going on holiday or days out because of it.

We have clear label holders that we put out luggage labels into, no danger of them being damaged. We had our third Iona Cruise in June.
I have a hidden disability, toilet related, and didn’t think to do the mobility thing, might do if we do another cruise though.
Hey, we have seen those cruise luggage label holders online but never got around to ordering some. We aint on another cruise now until April 24, so we will have to remember to order some. We're very sorry to hear about your disability. I see jess struggling on a daily basis and it's no joke. Yes it's always worth asking for some assistance to make it less of a struggle. We have found all cruise lines are pretty good looking after us during the embarkation process. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi Jess and Wayne , just seen your video, it’s really good. One thing regarding your checking, you queued in the mobility line. How do you apply for that. We are due to cruise on the Iona in 12 days time and I was worried about the long queues on the video. My wife has had both knees replaced and an ankle and although she’s not to bad walking, if she has to stand still for awhile her ankles swell really badly which would spoil her cruise

We rang P&O Cruises and made them I aware that I need accessibility support when instead of being in the queue.
Give them your information and they will be able to help you with all of your needs. :)

Hi I’m planning on cruising the P&O Iona next April to the fjords. I have the accessibility form for embarkation and am struggling to fill it in with reduced mobility due to chronic asthma any advice how to fill it in

@@HolidayWithTheHeathers I’ve tried filling it In and it asks do you require wheelchair assistance of course my answer is no as I can walk I just struggle up step slopes
But then there’s nothing else to fill in regarding mobility
@@HolidayWithTheHeathers hi I thought I’d replied it’s the mobility side of it for my disability it asks do you need a wheelchair but like yourself I don’t I just struggle with slopes upwards as my breathing gets worse and the form only has that one question on mobility

I hope you dont mind me asking, would you recommend your insurance company and if so who are they. I also have some medical issues so was wondering. Have just subscribed as we enjoy your vlogs.
Hey, Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Jessica and myself have an add on with our bank called travel plus pack (or something along those lines) its £18 a month and we get travel insurance and 6 free airport lounges too. Because of Jessica's whole range of conditions, the banks insurance doesn't cover for all. So she got a annual policy with Admiral. I do believe it was like £300 a year 🙂

The post office is great for insurance, cruise cover and disabilities. So im going on iona in August...I've got multiple sclerosis. My son is adhd and autistic and it cost about 90 quid for 5 of us and that was a premium one to. X

Yeah not to bad at all, I mean many insurance companies refuse me immediately when I say MS and tell me I need specialist cover. And post office have great prices so yeah worth having a look when yours is finished x
