Wheein and Hwasa celebrated 10 years in 2018, so they met in 2008, when they were 13.

Their group name was actually the original name of their debut song(before it was their debut song), and it was written for Quincy Jones (If you don't know who he is, look him up! He is a huge music producer, songwriter, composer, arranger, and film and television producer for the last 70+ years) , he declined the song, so parts of it were rewritten and the song renamed to "Mr. Ambiguous", used as their debut song, and the original song name, "Mamamoo", was used as their group name. Because were always asked about their group name, and it had no meaning they made up the story of it like babies come to their "Mama's" through basic instinct. So they will use their music, like a basic instinct, to bring their audience to them, and they will become fans.
This clip, is them explaining parts of what I've said, and there are other interviews (written and in video) about Quincy Jones's link to the group. Btw, Mamamoo performed for Quincy while he was in Seoul for a concert, he declined the song, but LOVED them!

Hwa Sa is actually almost the shortest in Mamamoo, Whee In beats her by 1 cm, they are very touchy about height and have a joke song about it called 1 cm, because they are all 1 cm apart in height, well except for MoonByul who is 1.8cm taller. They range in height (tallest to shortest) MoonByul, Solar, Hwa Sa, Whee In. Here is a link to the MV for "1 cm". It's an Amazing song!

The part when they asked them if they wanted 10 million, or be in Mamamoo. One of the best things they have gotten to do while being in Mamamoo is do solo work. They ALL have solo careers. So they actually are both part of a group, and solo artists, and they are all successful in both.
When Hwa Sa said she wanted to be a "beef Travel" .. She meant she wanted to be someone who travels to different places and tastes different foods from each country.

27 is not old lol. But even if it was, Wheein was 26 in that clip. Koreans add a year (or they used to atleast, I think it was changed recently)
Then he told us he's not even in his twenties yet, so of course he would THINK that anybody in their 20s is old. He's still a baby, he has no sort of reference point and he can't yet imagine himself being older in the future. What a shock he will be in for... He wasn't really paying attention so he doesn't know about Solar being in her Thirties now. And how old is this guide? At least 2 years old, right?
In Korea they use to consider the day of your birth to be your 1st birthday. They add the time in the womb to as part of your life (which, it really is), and even though it's not a whole year, I guess they decided it's close enough (since it's not 9 months, it's actually 10 months - 40 weeks, so it's close to a year).
Solar just celebrated her 33rd birthday the 21st of this month (Feb)

why is it wrong? it's the updated version of the purple hawk's one, which has been out of date for 5 years now
Purple hawk guide is amazing but personally I think this one is the one new people should be reacting to because it’s more updated and people can get to know them better now. I love both guides they’re both amazing.
