Liftgate not opening all the way up, ford mondeo 2016 mk5, do you know how to fix the electric strut...electric tailgate lift strut issue

Hi,
I just solved this problem today. Also, the doors on my Mondeo were only opening halfway.
The problem is in the broken wires (specifically the white one) in the place of the rubber cap.
I took out the whole strut and adjusted and energized the wire. There were more broken wires.
Be careful if you disconnect the strut and slam the door you won't open it 😉.
And de careful when unscrewing the strut at the door. It's only aluminum, so you need to keep the door open as much as possible when installing it.

try to reset the hight stop.
1 open the taigate to the hight you want.
2 long pres the open/close button on the tailgate untill you hear a beep
3 close the tailgate
4 give it a try
i have the issue that mine wont even open with anny buttons. and the tailgate can work perfectly the next day.

Trebuie sa setezi iar sistemul. verifica in cartea masinii ca ai acolo setarile necesare. Probabil cineva a reglat hayounul pentru deschiderea asta sau s-a resetat sistemul.

I have the same issue on my estate,pressing the button the boot lid goes up to the same height as yours,pressing the button again it goes up further but pressing the button to close,nothing happens

how did you fix , i ordered new strut cost 400$

@@MoldovanIonutEmilian I’ve not fixed it yet……..I’m going to look at the catch,it started for me when the lid wouldn’t close with the button because the car wasn’t level so I slammed it shut so I think I’ve dislodged/damaged something inside because I can hear something rattling when I close to lid

Hi all……I fixed the problem in 2 parts ….first part is I got 2 new struts off eBay and 2nd part…..I no longer own the car
