Man. Talk about the opposite end of two decades just crashing together. Haven't checked these guys out since Dizzy Up the Girl. Had all their previous albums, too. Got myself a lovely bout of PTSD and was a junkie for a while. These guys got me through some tough times. Just got my diagnosis, and I went back to listen to all those old songs I knew by heart. Then, the algo started playing this album and whichever one has "Autumn Leaves" on it. They're different, but so am I. And they're the same in some ways. So am I. I'm going through a hell of a time and here they are again. The visceral resonance of John's voice is crazy. I'm not leaving Rob out. That man is amazing. Seems like a true friend. Brilliant writer. Wish I was half as good as they are together. Anyway, just wanted to ramble, I guess. I don't think they read this stuff, but I'm so glad that there are others like me who either maintained-or rediscovered-their connection with the band. "The real relation.
