@@JokoMoto Without knowing your build or which options you chose it's hard to offer any suggestions. I'm guessing something you chose put too much load on your cpu causing a drop in frames. If you uncapped in the Nvidia control panel you could try capping them again if it's too much for your build.

For those who can't find the .exe files with the BE one, Open Files -> Open This PC -> Select the Device/Drive you have Tarkov saved in, mine was in Local Disk -> Open the "Battlestate Games" file -> Open "EFT (live)" folder. And you will find the .exe files. They may not say .exe, but those are them
WOW! I'll have to say, after watching some of the other settings guides on youtube, this one seems to be the most thorough, quick, simple, and EFFECTIVE I've seen. I ABSOLUTELY noticed a tremendous change in how my EFT runs, so much so I had to actually come back and make a comment. Thank you SwampFox, you've got my sub! Nice, happy to help! Tarkov is very much unoptimized in certain areas, especially on Lighthouse so the frames will jump all over for anyone, but getting that baseline higher is a big deal

My biggest complaint was a drop in fps using 6x scopes. I went from 41 - 47 FPS, then used your setting and am at > 61 fps consistently across gameplay. Thank you!
Happy to help! That comes from rendering picture in picture on the game's side. I believe the Bravo and another scope don't actually render your game twice when zooming, so you might try that one and see if you don't get frame dips at all when zooming.

Glad it helped, keep tweaking settings, especially in offline mode (so you'll be safe from players in game). Everyone's system is different so different settings might help you more or look better to you etc...
i like the video mate, but have to argue with max power gpu usage... it drains just too much energy etc, best (and its proven) is to set it at - optimal and let the nvidia decide.. otherwise its overheating and so on.. just for someone in chat who reads comment it could be useful as an option :)
Dude this was amazing. I had already changed everything that you had shown except for the dpi scaling. my frames went from an avg of 75-90 to 115-120fps 1440p I9-9900k 2080ti 32gb ram
@@FatedLotus its has alot to do with the weather in raid honestly, I noticed that time of day in raid almost plays a big factor aswell mine fluctuates from 95 to 130 depending on map etc. I play mostly customs. my friend has a 2070super and gets better fps than me so who knows I have seen 3090s get the close to the same fps as me aswell so hard to say with the game not being optimized.
@@bananahammock1212 Can tell this, I9-9900k 32GB ram 3090 Strix overcloked a bit becuase tarkov doesnt like it being too much. Still getting the same amount, if not less sometimes as you do. Tarkov is just so shitty optimized. But fingers crossed something will "soon" happen to optimization.
@@AlphaCarry won't be for awhile, maybe when streets comes out we will see a bit of a bump when unity 2019 comes out but I doubt game will be finished enough for legit optimizations until 2022
The disabling V-sync in Geforce Settings and enabling in game didn't work for me, kept me at my monitors refresh rate. Unchecking both let me go up to the in game cap of 120 though. This is in March 2021 using a lowly Geforce GTX 1660 Super OC. I used to suffer from very pixelated assets in EFT and this would make it VERY hard to recognise players from bushes at anything over 50-75 metres. For example Woods and Shoreline with trees behind trees, the over lap of very pixelated assets would catch my eye and cause me to react to ghosts. This guide has softened things considerably for me and I'm running at ~100 fps now without issue.
Happy the guide helped overall. I'm not sure a 1660 could push much past 120fps in Tarkov anyway so you might be right around the best you'll get out of it right now, from the sounds of it at least. Thanks for leaving detailed feedback; it may be helpful to others
Bro my games FPS increased by almost 60 fps... this guide is god tier.. I dont have the best rig but its still pretty good and i was suffering at like 60 fps sometimes lower now I'm almost at 144 constantly. GOD TIER GUIDE

@@CoffeeFresh_ depends where you installed the game. If you R-click the launcher & open file location, you should be able to find the folder from there. You could also search for it in Windows from the start menu

I have litterly went from playing on 55fps to 110fps after doing these settings. Always felt 55 was low for ryzen 5 and 2070super this was obviously why 😅 thanks man

Ok I'm getting fucking 30 fps at night time in woods even with NVG on. What a joke my cpu and gpu usage is 40% too. Hoping they fix this because I'm literally just appalled by this. First time I spent so much cash on myself and this is happening.
@@sliicky6776 Yeah I got 100-120 fps in factory but in woods and customs its just all over the place. Certain places I get 90 but near the lumbar yard or forest I get 50-60 but at some point I get 30-40 fps. GPU and CPU usage is all over the place. When I get my gpu to 60% and cpu 40% its smooth but it just goes everywhere.
Nice, probably because increasing the settings pushed more of the workload from your CPU to your 1080. Hope it's still running smooth (since this is a 1 month late reply haha)

Yeah, that's exactly why anyone with less than 16 will run into some extra trouble with stuttering & lag etc...
this dogshit game uses up to 84% of vram from my 3090, it is absolutely fucked.

Nikita has said not to use the in game FPS counter, as it slightly decreases performance.
Using it for a moment on the menu to verify uncapped fps won't effect your game at all. He was saying it's best not to have it on for your raid

I have the issue where only 40 percent of my gpu is being used. Does anyone have a similar issue and know how to deal with it?
Sometimes increasing your graphics settings will help with this, at least this was the case for some people in previous versions of the game.

If you guys don't have 6gb of vram i recommend to keep the game in medium settings

yo i have the same problem but i found out this game has terrible optimization and especially with the new 30 series since they haven’t even begun working on it
@@dren_z7636 Yeah its horrible although in factory I'm getting 100 fps which is still low for the card and since its indoors it doesn't matter much.
Went around woods for couple times I get from 90 to god damn 40 fps in certain parts. Bugs me a bit lol
Ok I'm getting fucking 30 fps at night time in woods even with NVG on. What a joke my cpu and gpu usage is 40% too. Hoping they fix this because I'm literally just appalled by this.
First time I spent so much cash on myself and this is happening.

@@sliicky6776 Yeah I got 100-120 fps in factory but in woods and customs its just all over the place. Certain places I get 90 but near the lumbar yard or forest I get 50-60 but at some point I get 30-40 fps.
GPU and CPU usage is all over the place.
When I get my gpu to 60% and cpu 40% its smooth but it just goes everywhere.
this worked great for me somehow i was getting 45+ fps on low at 1080 but switched to these settings and im getting 70+ fps on 1440
Nice, probably because increasing the settings pushed more of the workload from your CPU to your 1080. Hope it's still running smooth (since this is a 1 month late reply haha)
This is nuts, you got from around on average 45-50 to 68-80 fps on woods, I did do a little more up scaling on my setting but still crazy! Thank you so much! Def gonna sub!
