I 1000% agree! It’s my favourite of the Star Wars songs! When I watched the final movie Rise of Skywalker, when (spoiler alert) all the ships from across the galaxy come to fight together, I thought this song would have been the better choice (not the typical Skywalker theme). I think it would have added that ‘epic’ level that was needed for such a climactic scene. It’s a pity they don’t use this theme anywhere else.

I had the pleasure of seeing Star Wars at the 70MM Coronet Theatre in San Francisco, the summer of 1977, one of the country's premier movie houses at the time and one of the few that had the then-revolutionary THX sound system. When Star Wars first opened, it wasn't a phenom for the first week or so(no social media back then)...and then the word got out and BOOM (I remember seeing the print ad prior to the opening and thinking it looked silly)! I was fresh out of college in the Bay Area and a buddy of mine called me, beside himself, about this AMAZING film he just saw! Could NOT stop raving about it. We waited a month to see it, and still had to stand in line for TWO showings to run before we got in. The crowds were insane. I have never experienced such anticipation in a theatre for a film to start. When the 20th Century Fox fanfare (which had been shortened and depleted of bass in recent years) came crashing forth in full dramatic length and deep sound, the place went nuts...only to be surpassed when Williams' masterpiece of a score erupted. The collective audience experience in the theatre that day for me has never been matched: wildly cheering but not unruly, and sustained applause and whoops of joy at the end. Great days of a cohesive populace loving life, long gone.
My husband and I walked into our reception hall to The Throne Room Theme/ Finale for our 2005 wedding. Every time I hear it I think of that magical day.
I’m a cellist, and we played the entire suite in my high school orchestra. The Throne Room was always my favorite movement, because of how cello heavy it is.
Wow! Just incredible! - I'm back at the old Odeon cinema in Leicester in 1978 with my dad, and my mind is blown. My normally very down to earth, working class dad is awestruck too! The music, the imagery, characters, story, the HEART, the sheer excitement, electricity and good energy that was in the air both in the cinema, and in the streets for this film across all ages was UNIQUE. My dad and I have this as a special moment. The generation that saw this film back in the 70's, when it was fresh were TRULY blessed and I will NEVER forget it!!!

A lot of films have a recognisable piece of music. The original Star Wars has about 20 different pieces of music that is in instantly recognisable and all the film's combined have over 100 different tunes that are instantly recognisable!
Star Wars and The Lord of The Rings probably have the most motifs ever for a film series, Lord of The Rings even has little ones that only appear once or twice with a particular character or place that appears.
When I saw it at the cinemas in 1978. It was this march that got the biggest reaction. Out of so many moments that would we could barely comprehend. This had the whole audience on their feet applauding. Men and women in tears. Kids cheering! Hugging. An almost religious experience.
