    Tighten the injector retainer nut to 44 ft. lbs. (60 Nm).Tighten the banjo fitting bolt to 6 ft. lbs. (8 Nm). Tighten the fuel line fittings to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).

      tighten them all until they crack and then a back off a quarter turn... its some fuel lines and and injectors not head studs on a 2000hp pull truck you dont need to torque specs... not to mention you cant get a socket on most of it to use a torque wrenche anyway

    Thanks for replying I wouldn't get anything bigger if anything closer to "stock" I just liked that these injectors were a little more HP and nothing crazy. When I talked to the guys at pure diesel They said they sold quite a few of these for this type of set up and haven't had any problems. These guys on the forum think I'm an absolute idiot but w/e. I called and talked to the shop that rebuilt the transmission due to more research I've done ppl where saying the TC could be locking/not but he said if that was the case my trans temp would sky rocket very quickly to 250+ and I'm running 150-180 on the highway only problem is when in "town" stop and go it climbs to 200+ quickly which would be a problem in traffic pulling a trailer in the middle of summer. I will probably find a certified shop and get it diagnosed via a computer to see if that shows anything I'm not seeing as he said there can be about 40 other thing not directly related to the trans but overall could be effect it.

    Aloha sir. I agree on the harbor freight nitrile gloves. I usually get the 9 mil black ones. Got my finger a little too close too the nozzle of a 3200 psi power washer. Had a huge blister(looked like a burn) glove was unscathed.also use them to wipe the end of the soldering iron, never melt. Probably made of radioactive mercuric asbestos or something, but they do hold up well...also, well made video.good lighting, steady camera, good narration with proper volume levels.liked and subscribed.

    I was curious I'm having major MPG issues and i also replaced my injectors with these in my 12v. I'm on. Couple of cummins forums and they are all saying these injectors as wrong and are marine grade with the wrong spray pattern for the bowl. Mine seems to run great and didn't affect my milage as far as any worse and really not better as far as mpg goes. Curious if you had any problems thoughts or ideas thank you and I enjoy the videos

    • @Broncocarl92
      @Broncocarl92  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      My truck runs great, only complaint (and my low stall converter is most of the problem) is cold running idle, in gear she needs help until the motor gets a little heat in her. Mileage is about the same getting 18 combined highway/city driving. Power wise I would never go back to the stock ones. I honestly would not expect bigger injectors to improve mileage. What is your pump timing set at?

    Nicely done ! Did the new injectors make a difference in power? did U do any other work since the Swap? I recently did a V-10 to 96 Cummins swap & completely rebuilt the entire truck plus body work & paint. I have been having a fuel pressure problem ,I have replaced the entire fuel feed system I think to day after doing every thing I can think including feeding fuel from a direct line into a 5 gallon can. I got a defective fuel pressure relief valve the 2nd 1 . only 134,000 miles on the engine. max pressure 7-12lbs running down the road . I just ordered a Tork Tools adjustable 1 .I cant recall how many times I have gotten BAD parts brand new in my life. Thanks for doing this video. U can see what I did on my channel under Cummins, it took over 1 year Thanks.

    • @Broncocarl92
      @Broncocarl92  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheKilog69 Thanks..
      Yes there is quite a noticeable difference in performance, better throttle response off the line and while cruising. As far as other work since the swap I made some videos.. I also built a bullet proof transmission and added a FASS system this year but did not do any videos on that. The FASS eliminated all the stock fuel system parts and I would highly recommend that to any diesel truck owner.
      Thanks for watching and the comments. I will check out your videos.

    Looking at my Dad's 1994 12v. There is a 4th line with the back set of 3 fuel lines that crosses across the top of the engine and routes down the injector side of the engine. One side routes somewhere under the turbo, the other side routes to the back of the P pump. What is this line? It is not there in this video (or any others I have seen) I can't find a diagram that includes this line either.

    • @Broncocarl92
      @Broncocarl92  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe that is the boost reference line. The reason you don't see it on my engine is because I have a BD Super B turbo and the waste gate line is integral to the turbo housing. The boost line that goes to the P pump is connected from the driver side of the intake manifold. Hope that helps!

    • @BrockSampson29
      @BrockSampson29 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the help! Found a service manual online which refers to it as the wastegate line. Looks like it is right in line with what you described. Runs from the wastegate to the AFC.

  • @AndrewBrowner
    @AndrewBrowner 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    mine was crusty as can be 4/6 of the injectors spun in the bore when loosening the retaining nut and the retaining nuts are seized to the injector body, of course when you put the lug nut on them the injector spins but i was able to get the lug nut on them all a few threads and the hammer and pry on that to get them loose without damaging the injector

    • @AndrewBrowner
      @AndrewBrowner 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i suppose the solution to this would be to hold the flats at the top of the injector with a wrench and loosen the hold down with a wrench, but with the coolant lines in the way there isnt much room to do this and mine were so crusty it took ill i could muster on a 3ft breaker bar to get them loose i would have stripped them with a wrench if itd even fit on there and no leverage

      +Harry Mingo Mainly for a performance upgrade but I also had a problem with it loading up at idle. The power increase was worth it and it doesn't load up anymore. My motor has about 170k on it but I'm pretty sure it has a lot more hours than mileage on it.

      tomduncan1970 hey Tom good to hear from you too! I can't remember exactly how long it took... with the filming you know everything takes three times as long LOL. I would say maybe it's a two hour job. I did notice a very decent power increase. I also noticed that in the winter time she became a real cold-blooded bitch and I have to increase the idle slightly otherwise the low stall converter likes to make the engine stop when it's cold. Overall I'm happy with the results. I have since replaced the turbo with a BD super B and downpipe so power really isn't an issue anymore. Thanks for stopping by and take care brother.

    @jakegetz6636 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    ok I watched this video a while ago and changed my injectors and primed the system and everything was fine. now a few months later, I noticed my third injector is leaking from the top where you screw that nut down from the fuel line onto the injector. my thinking is... the fuel line isn't lined up exactly to the top of the injector therefore its not getting fuel and leaking out. the reason I think this is because I torqued everything again and it was all good, even loosened and re tightened everything and when I did that I noticed the bolt on the fuel line was like a hair off from fitting perfect onto the top of the injector. so idk if im right or not but I will look this weekend, just would appreciate some feedback on what you guys think.

    • @Broncocarl92
      @Broncocarl92  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jake Getz is it possible you cracked the top of the line? if you want to eliminate the possibility of the line or the injector I would recommend to swap that injector with either number 4 or number 2 see if the league moves. did you remove the lines when you change the injectors or did you just move them to the side? the lines don't like being bent to the side but just why I remove them completely. hope that helps let me know if you need any more information. have a Happy Thanksgiving.

    • @jakegetz6636
      @jakegetz6636 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I took the lines completely off when I changed the injectors. after I placed the lines back on it was months until I noticed a leak so I doubt they just cracked randomly, but who knows lol. can you adjust the fuel lines at all? I know theyre all like bolted together I was thinking about loosening the bolt where the lines are connected and try and just move it a little bit to see if it fits better. it just felt like the threads on that not from the fuel line was hitting the top thread on the injector, as if it wasn't lined up perfectly somehow
