    The metaphor with taking a photo of your kid is spot on. Great lecture. 😄

    Washington Open MRI has a weight-bearing MRI machine. Patient can sit or stand and you can get flexion/extension too. Which is VERY important to check clivo-axial measurements. Most problems fix themselves in a supine position and like you said, when the patient is upright, things move.

    Great video Dr. Antoniades. I am an NP who just started working for 2 neurosurgeons covering mainly spine patients. This is very helpful to learn MRI. I plan on going through all of your other videos. Thank you for sharing and helping others learn.

    Thank you doctor. You offer something valuable to the public. You've taken the mystery out of reading MRIs. I was misdiagnosed for 8 years with CSM. Apparently no one in Milwaukee knew what CSM is. I was diagnosed in 2014 with CSM and I looked at my MRIs using the skills you taught and I see it in 2010, I see written MRI reports that are similar in 2005. Could you have spotted it in 2010? At any rate you can have my MRIs as a case study in a misdiagnosis with years of imaging to go with it. I have both cervical and lumbar MRIs for you if you want them.

    Dr. Antoniades: Thank you, great lecture. I watched entire show.Question: CAn one see nerves on MRI? I want to read my own, and am specifically looking for nerves at C3 & C4 that feed into phrenic nerve. what color on MRI? gray? can they be viewed at all on it?

    • @spineconference
      @spineconference  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Shelagh Smith You can see the C3C4 nerve roots in the spine, but I don't think you can see the phrenic nerve in the soft tissues of the neck.

    I really enjoyed your lecture and it was very kind of you to make it public. My only disappointment was that most of the time (but not all of the time) we could not actually see what you were pointing at, for the mouse arrow just stayed still even though you and/or your fellow was clearly pointing at something. I don't know if you were also using a laser pointer or what the problem was, but this was frustrating.

    • @spineconference
      @spineconference  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ThePunkin59 I'm very sorry about that issue. The problem is that I use powerpoint for the presentation and snagit for the recording and posting to the internet and there is no way to make them work together for some reason. So I have to point mechanically with a laser pointer to the group and do it on the computer for the youtube audience. Sometimes I have someone point the laser pointer to the audience and I point on the computer for youtube.
