FYI, Ayer in Malaysian language is a word for water. D olden Malay word for water is spelled as ayer but d modern Malay word for water is spelled as air.

Very often these villages are not populated as much anymore, as a lot of people have moved to cities. Many of the houses are holiday homes as well!
