Well, the best advertisement is, after all, a good product that actually works. Unfortunately so many companies, even Samsung, dismiss this fact nowadays.

I preordered my Flip5 after my very loyal Galaxy Note 8 finally died a few weeks ago. Been a loyal Note user since the 1st Note and I’m so happy to see the Flip5 surviving this much damage/testing. I’m very careful with all my devices, I still have a working Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and iPhone 6S... so this means my Flip5 will last a long time! (I hope)😂

A tip for the dust test, next year/time... Inspired by your cold weather test, how about putting he phone in one of those sealed boxes, with a lot of dust inside and have a fan blow dust around for an extended time while you keep folding on? That is maybe more realistic than trying to press dirt inside the hinges? 😊

Thank you so much for this testing of the two flip phones. I bought the Razr 5g when it came out because I was desperate for a small phone which I could easily put in a pocket, even a small one on a rucksack. It was a lovely looking phone but very slippy frane so I dropped it a few times and it got cracked before I bought a case and hid the good looks. This year I bought the Razr 40 for the faux leather body. No need for a case, it's already grippy and looks great in Summer Lilac. I was so pleased with it until I took it to the beach and put it in a pocket which had a bit of sand in. The sand got into the hinge and although it hasn't yet affected the screen I can hear the hinge rasping every time I open and close the phone. I've spent months trying to work out how to replace the phone. Hate phablets. I already have a tablet, don't need to carry one around. This brilliant experiment has helped me decide to go for the Flip 5. Shame it's a slippy case so I'll need to buy one, but at least I can stop worrying about sand in the hinge. If some does get in, I just need to submerge in water, open and close a few times and hey presto, just like in the video!
Thanks to Mrkeybrd and all the volunteers for really helpful, evidence based, impartial testing.

Have used the foldables since the fold and flip 3. People think they are so fragile, but they really aren't. Sure the inner display a small bit more fragile than a normal smartphone screen, but it's not that bad considering the inside/main displays are folded and protected majority of the time anyway. my original z fold 3 I used to rock without a screen protector and did that for about 3 months before buying and putting a new one on myself and never had any issues while it didn't have the screen protector on it, not a single scratch.

I think that opening a flip phone so quickly for so long (sans the sand and water tests) wouldn't be realistic anyways, because the friction is building up heat which helps to damage the hinge faster. But the test is a huge win for Samsung....which is likely to rarely have a hinge fail in normal use for the life of the phone.....which should exceed the average users ownership of the phone...or the screen will simply fail long before the hinge ever does.

Who would keep a phone more than a year or 2?? Why worry about them breaking?

Ok, so as usual - to all the Polish folks - in the comment section speak English, not Polish, please, let Jakub's channel flow through the seas of algorithm! Great job, team Klawiter!

What is wrong with you Americans, not everyone has to speak English.

@@StrawberryLegacy Dude, I'm Polish. It's all about the algorithm. If the majority of the comments would be in PL, youtube might cut the spreading on the English youtube. And at the start of this Channel it was like that - most of the comments were not in English, and the views were very little. It takes a lot of time to make people aware of that problem.
      Have a bearable Tuesday, Mate!
