There's nothing better than childhood cousin memories!
It's so true! I have precious cousin memories from my childhood and it warms my heart to see my kids playing with their cousins. ❤️
Yes show us your dessert please
I will! Stay tuned for those videos to come in December!
Kristen! I loved hanging out with you in this chat. Your videos always feel so personal and you even have this non-baker excited to whip up something fun in the kitchen. Buckeyes and muddy buddies are a MUST (going to use both your recipes!) as well as the classic sugar cookie, which is my personal favorite. Thank you so much for sharing the Christmas Planner with your community!
You are so welcome! I rolled my first batch of buckeyes last night. 😊 And you can't go wrong with sugar cookies. Definitely a classic! There is something about baking around the holidays. It's one of my favorite traditions! 🥰
I’m really excited for the recipe videos! Thank you for doing them.
Awww. Good! I hope they will be helpful! I need to finish getting my tree drcorated...and then I can start baking and tackle those videos! 😁
Everything sounds so so good God Bless You 😊
Thank you! 🤗
Love your videos! I'm looking forward to your cooking videos.
Yay! Thank you!
I love real trees! I especially love going to a tree farm and cutting it down. Over the years, we have rotated between a real tree & a faux tree. We have new puppies this year that like to chew on wood so we opted for our faux tree. We put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving & take it down during the first week of January. 🌲❄️🌲🌲❄️
That makes a lot of sense! Good for you in doing what works this year! A real tree does smell so good though! And I am glad to hear of others who enjoy it for a long while too! 😍
My daughter and i have a fake tree about 5 ft. tall. The apartment is decorated but tree not up yet as i haven't felt well. Hope to get some cookies made to share.
There is plenty of time! I didn't get to decorating the tree yet either. Plenty of time left! I hope you feel better soon!
I have a fake tree. We put it up a couple of weeks ago when my grand children, ages 5 and 2, came over to help grandma! They love doing it, since i been having health issues. Would not change it. Will take down when they come over during time off from school! I really enjoy your videos!
Thank you, Kathy! And how wonderful to have excited grandchildren to help! There really is something so wonderful about the joy of children especially around the holidays! 🎄
Same here except it was my niece and nephew who are 6 and 9 helping my 19 and 23 year old sons. It's extra special and never looked prettier this year 🥰
I start decorating for Christmas on November 1st starting with the 3 themed faux Trees/ 1 large green and 2 white (Santa, Disney & Pop culture) I especially ❤ placing my stable & nativity pieces in my Kitchen pushed out 2 shelf window. It took me 32 hours this year to complete my decor before Thanksgiving 😊 I usually celebrate Christmas with my children/grandchildren the weekend of Thanksgiving each year when everyone is in town. A new grandaughter just born on 11/18 so not happening with everyone this year but so happy with a healthy delivery 😊 I assign a different Santa paper for each grandchild so there is no confusion when we are all togther 😅 I wrap these gifts as I buy them during the year so once the treeskirt is down I can load up the presents underneath the trees. I ❤ the month of December just relaxing not having to deal with all the craziness in the stores and on the roads 😊
Way to be so organized and plan ahead!🎄 I am impressed! I love setting all my nativities up too. Mine are set up on the top of my piano but I really need to expand and find another good spot or two. I love your idea of having a different paper for everyone! Way to wrap and stay organized! 😍
Please share your buckeye recipe. I plan on starting my baking soon, purchased .ost of ingredients in November.
Good for you! Baking early saves SO much time and frustration! The buckeye video will be coming soon in December!
We put our tree 🌲 up before Thanksgiving. Ours tree 🌲 is fake and has lots of ornaments on it, and has a star on the top I have been letting my granddaughter’s put up our tree 🌲 and decorate it, beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Love that! I am sure your granddaughters loved helping decorate! I always think it is so fun to see all the different ornaments on everyone's trees!
I put our tree up Saturday. I used to put up 2, but our house is torn up where we need to put wood flooring down. Formal tree is not going up this year.
Way to be flexible this Christmas! 🎄 And good luck with getting flooring down! That's a big project!
Sounds like you had a great🥧 🍽 🦃 Thanksgiving with your family. 🧡🤎
I always put up my Christmas 🎅🏻 decorations the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving, tho we don't do a tree anymore, but I have plenty of other decor i put out. I take it all down the day after Christmas. I love the freshness of a new year.
I keep a Xmas binder 📓 too and record what I've bought and baked each year. 😊
I said the same thing to my husband! I love the coziness of all our Christmas decor but come the new year? I will be ready for a clean slate and fresh start! 😊
This year I put up early before Thanksgiving and it's up tel after New years and I have Fake tree. I just feel we need some happiness in house ! I enjoy all coziness it bring ❤ Hope all had good Thanksgiving!
My husband and I were just saying the same thing! There is something so cozy about sitting by the lights with all the other decorations up! 😍 Enjoy ALL the cozy Christmas moments!
I too am excited for your recipes. Would you (or maybe you have, I am fairly new to your channel) share the poppy seed chicken recipe please.I now have elementary school age grandchildren for whom I want to cook kid friendly dishes. Thank you!
Of course! Here's the recipe. It is a family favorite for sure! joyfullythriving.com/delicious-poppy-seed-chicken/
@@joyfullythriving thank you so much. Sounds yummy. I will make it this week. It sounds like a good potluck dish or a good dish for friends who need help. Thanks again from a fellow Hoosier! (Indpls)
@@susanmcroberts8877 YES! It is my go-to dish when I am cooking a meal to deliver to friends or a church family who needs a meal after a baby or recovering from illness. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!
Still in Thanksgiving mode.
Good for you! Savor it! So much to be thankful for! 🙏
👩🏻🍳 I don't bake a ton, but we do have our favorites. Scotcheroos, peppermint bark, Mexican wedding cake balls, 🍪 molasses cookies, & cranberry white chocolate chip cookies. Yum! 😅
Yum! Those all sound amazing! 😍 Scotcheroos are one of my favorites too!
We have a fake tree with a star. We put up when we have time and I require it to be down before school goes back in session because I can’t guarantee it comes down when life gets busy again. I prefer to be done with shopping by now but I haven’t found much yet. I have a notebook that I use to write presents. I am hoping for some inspiration on the rest of the presents I still need. Lol tracking the butter 😂
I totally get that! It always seems like more work to take the tree down too. Ha. I have a lot of Shopping to do too. I need to get going on that, hopefully over the next week. And here's hoping for a butter sale for all the holiday baking coming up!
❤❤❤❤❤
❤️ ❤️
We are sharing the same weather, maybe snow for Christmas. BTW trader Joe's pumpkin spice tea is fantastic and is only around this time of the year. Team fake tree doesn't go up until December, stays up December through January
Ohhh. I will have to check that out next time I make it to a Trader Joe's! Snow for Christmas would be nice - as long as I can stay home to enjoy it! 😉 ❄️
I looked up your peanut cluster recipe and it just says "peanuts". Are they dry roasted peanuts ? Spanish peanuts? or?? I just want to do it right 🙂
Good question! I use dry roasted. I will clarify that on the recipe.
@@joyfullythriving Thank you so much!!
I love watching your shopping hauls, but I don't see any meat, i.e. chicken, fish or beef. Are you all vegetarians?
Oh no. Definitely not! 😆 I tend to buy lots of meat when it is on sale, and stock up then. I buy 30 to 50 pounds of ground beef every Memorial Day and Labor Day. And then supplement with chicken and ground pork as I find it.
