Searching for BIGGER HoldOver Trout on A Spring-Fed Creek

- I have been making a point to get back into creek fishing for smallmouth, panfish and trout. I basically taught myself how to fish spending all of my time in creeks as a kid. I learned more watching fish react to what I did right and what I did wrong. And I'm still doing it 40 some odd years later.
This is just a short video of how I approach small spring fed creeks for trout. These are stocked trout on a small stream not really in trout country. I am fortunate to have a handful of "practice" creeks as I call them to hone my techniques with conventional and fly gear as I get back into trout fishing.
GEAR USED:
Trout Magnet D2 Jig - alnk.to/aAODxAt
Fish USA Flagship UL Rod - alnk.to/3nhzk9d
Piscifun Viper X 500 Reel - amzn.to/3YLX1hV
2-Pound SOS Line - amzn.to/40JBycm
Megabass Great Hunting Humpback - alnk.to/2uHMq6r
My lure of choice in this video is a D2 Jig. It's a specially made jig to have an erratic fall and to have a lot of movement and pulse on rod pumps. I often drop down to 1/32 ounce jig to jerk it hard and let it fall wildly in shallower creeks. On big rivers I will use the 1/8th ounce but a 1/32 can be deadly on small spring creeks.
So enjoy a few fish catches. I've been nymphing a bunch of fish lately and will have some fly rod videos from these small creeks as I get back into fly fishing after 20 years of conventional content making.
Keep it up, Jason
Thanks, Nick! Appreciate the support. I got a lot in the hopper. It's been a while since I've made content I really wanted to make. 😄👍

Thank you!
Thanks for sharing I just subscribed like your multi species videos, what state are you fishing in
@@scottshepley7619 thanks bud. I live in Kentucky but go to Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and more to fish besides here. I live in the far western part of the state so I can be to a lot of good waters in under 4 hours.
