I have watched numerous videos on how to remove the covers, but this was the first one I found that suggested removing the bottom trim. I just wanted to remove the covers to paint the window trim so just loosening the trim was enough for me to get the covers off. I was extremely frustrated trying to get the covers off before seeing this video. I cannot thank you enough!!!
That's awesome 👍
Wow, I wish removing that bottom trim piece was so easy. Popped off like magic!
This is just like my windows and thanks for the tutorial. Particularly the left & right advice was very helpful!!
Great Video!
Better than any other
Cheaper then replacing Window!
Very good instructions
Thanks for posting this video. I was thinking I would have to buy a new window.
Thank you. Just bought a house and I need to do this
Same, on two windows...next to each other...sort of annoying tbh lol
Thank you for the valuable information.
Thank you. Worked perfectly
Awesome 👌
I have a quick question: what if I cannot find the crank anymore and I find another one with a shorter arm do you think I can use it?
@@crisbojinca5893 I would think it wouldn't open as far? But I'm not sure?
Very helpful! Thanks for the video!
Thx..might want to clean thos windows once a year or so! :)
Can you replace them with another brand/make?
You might find a universal one but no guarantees it will fit properly
Anyone know what model of Anderson window this is? I have to replace a few of them and would prefer to use the same ones!
Order 1 to make sure it works on your window and go from there, I do think alot of their windows have the same hardware
It's the 400 series
I can’t remove my casing behind the crank It’s got a set screw. Removed that and crank arm handle came out but cannot get that plastic casing out
Try a flat screwdriver under it and pry up should pop off
@@GetToThePointplz123 I thought of it but didn’t want to damage wood underneath. I’ll try to slide cardboard under it first
@@GetToThePointplz123 took some elbow grease but it popped off. Used a wide chisel braced with cardboard underneath
