Those GDW servos look awesome. I run a GDW IPX896 in my race vehicle, and it's been 100% solid, was 70 bucks well spent. I might pick up a couple of these smaller ones now that I know more about their performance. Thanks for a great video!
And I didn't realize it when I went to the store to get my first rig it was the Bronco and I seen that fmsi Mike well I'll go ahead and get it too making that always might be okay also but that wasn't the reason I went there I went there for the scx24 or was I mistaken I put that fms-2 the side and started messing with that scx then I bought the four-wheel steer ax 24 I just now started really messing with the FMS and my goodness is it better I stretched it out and I put some heavy rims on it and it will go anywhere
More options to tune (and spend money ;-) ) in the SCX24... but out of the box the FCX24 is really better.
However, also check the new Hobby Plus CR-18P (Rock Van, Trail Hunter), they are (and perform) awesome.
Do not waste money on a TRX-4M, if you do not want to spend a ton in upgrades to make it perform.
I making a combination of the two, scx metal transmission and fcx driveline and axles. 4ws furitek stuffs. It's awesome.

I finally got myself an SCX24 this week, and it's nice to see that the Surpass servos I already have several of is a good choice. Bought a four pack of those for like 15 bucks this summer, to have as spares and upgrades for some of my other small crawlers. I have only ran the SCX24 on some obstacles on my bench so far, and yeah, it's fast, but not very strong. It stalls ouy way too soon, compared to most of my other mini trucks with stock, JX or Surpass servos.
Great test as usual!!! For my FCX24, I just replaced the flexible bendy stock steering links with my own 3D printed one, considering replace the servo horn with a metal one, do you reckon any 15T metal horn will fit?
No, I do not think so. The FCX24 servo has a very special, unusal "crown". For the tests I had to heat up a servo-arm (plastic) and press it with a lot of force onto the metal. I could not find any servoarm fitting to the FCX24 servo (and I do have a ton of different micro servos and -arms).

After the lights issued this is the second problem with my fcx24 can’t find a proper horn for it plastic horn has stripped and now it’s superglued on the pinion no one knows if there is a metal horn for it. I suppose a 25T horn won’t fit. So I was thinking for an alternative servo since there is no horn ,which one do you suggest as a proper upgrade for it? Can I use a DuPont servo with an adapter on the stock fcx or do I have to swap plugs? Or just wait for a metal horn for stock servo ?
@@TheAlxzHouz I have dozens of different micro servo arms (from different servos), none of those fit the FCX24 servo. So I had to heat up a servoarm and press it on for my servo tests. Actually there is no metal servo arm available (AFAIK).
Of course you can use a DuPont servoplug servo with adapter.

can you tell me a servo that have a 4mm Shaft diameter
I would like to know the theeth/dimension of the PTK servo as i would like to find an aluminium arm for it. Unfortunately my eyes are bad and i could not really count them but i am sure its more than 25. Nothing from similar size servos i have fits. (AGFRC, NDSRC, Mofo, Emax, Injora).
We need a part 2 for all the new servos that are out now!

sorry i dont agree, i use myself over years the tower pro, and they have ~1 KG, they are 1000 times reviewd so its true, same from me.
but the S00009M from surpass reach in my lift test ~1,5 KG in real use not 4 or 5 KG like here shown.
i think the here shown elektronik device have any type of defekt thats why all servos are far beyond there specs....
i am 100% shure that all my surpass hobby , 5 of them have all 1,5 Kg +-/- 10% differences.
and for anyone who relly looking for or good servo for ~ 5€ you get the VOTIK 7455 MG-D, it is much stronger then the surpass hobby for same price but also not reach 4 Kg

Vielen Dank für diesen ausführlichen Test der möglichen Ersatzmotoren.Mehr oder weniger sind die Motoren Leistungssgleich gravierende Aussreisser nach oben oder unten konnte ich in der Tabelle nicht wirklich ausmachen ,da stellt sich Mir nur die Frage welcher hat sich als langlebigster herraus gestellt? Denn die Langlebigkeit des Serienmotors ist nicht gerade üppig.

Can you please compare the Reefs 99 to the new servo from OGRC?
It is not available here (in EU), would be (with shipping and customs) super, super expensive... I would love to buy and test those servos, and if I would live in the US, I probably would (still expensive). But here in EU I will not order. And I highly doubt, that those servos are better than the cheap metal HV servos I tested in this video (still would like to test).

I think everything about the fms fcx24 is better
Scx24 has a good transmission. I think that's it's best quality whereas fcx24 has many, even it's transmission is good but for more competitive stuff you would use the scx24 transmission in an fcx24
Hi, awesome video. Do you have a video on how to power the SCX24 servo(the one that can take 8.4 volts) using 2s lipo battery. I know I can buy a external BEC but your video seems like it's going to save me some money by using 2s lipo to power the servo...
No vídeo. You will have to make adapters, red and black from servo directly to battery (y-cable from battery to receiver and servo) and signal (white/orange) plus black from servo to receiver channel 1.

You need a new servo. So you can buy the FCX24 servo as spare part, or buy any servo that fits. Since the FCX24 does come with an adapter from JSG GH plug (board) to "normal" servo plug, you can use most micro servos (that are also used for SCX24) without any mods. However, "normal" servos will have longer wires than the FCX24 servo.
Ich hätte da auch noch ein Servo den ich selbst in beiden SCX24 benutze und sehr zufrieden bin... Und zwar ist das der Injora INSO12G 12g Digital Servo. Haben Sie den auch mal getestet?

You stripped your servoarm? Well, I could take the arm off and count, but if you do have it? I only know that I did not find any servoarm that fit to the FMS FCX24 servo, and I do have tons of different micro servos and countless "Micro/Medi" servoarms. I had to heat up a plastic servo-arm which "nearly fitted" and press it with a lot of force to the FCX24 servo. Honestly I doubt that there are actually (3rd party) servoarms out which fit. But probably there will show up metal servoarms especially for the FCX24 servo soon...

@@lincolnditchburn737 Would be interested in an upgrade servo horn, too. Hope this will come... I hate the "crowns" of the micro-servos. Nearly every servo has a different size and spine count, horrible. Much easier in standard servos (for 1/10), where most servos share the same types of servo arms.
The Emax crown gear is a direct swap for that in the FMS servo. If you have a couple of burnt Emax, you have parts!
