A good start to the new year gents. It looks like a really decent car. I’m sure by the time you guys have finished with it ,…it will be back to brand new condition.
The prices will be steep from the dealers I’m sure, but the car is in such good condition it deserves brand new parts.

Used Car Vertical when looking for a car for my wife a couple of months back. Found what looked like a good deal, stuck the reg into the app and it came up with outstanding finance (also had who it was with and their number). Called the seller and he was straight up - without me asking told us of the loan he had on it. He needed to get out of the finance (business problems I think) and we came to an arrangement. We agreed to buy the car and he paid the outstanding off, we paid the remainder while finance people were on the phone. All legit. A really useful tool when looking for a new car.

We had a 2019 A1 30 tfsi petrol. Ran it for 3 years with no issues. It’s a great little city car
I’m surprised the insurers didn’t repair that being a brand new high value car but that said it’s a nice bit of salvage for you both 🙂

Yea they won’t bother as for them it’s a lot of paperwork,time and costs involved when they can just write it off and pay it out. For every one policy claim there are thousands that don’t get claimed on so writing cars off isn’t a hardship for them at all.
The term 'High value' only applies to Supercars, Hypercars and Megacars. This Audi is considered as a standard car in the insurance field.
Bent chassis leg is always a write off.

I think dealer parts are the way to go anyway Rob, with it being a 22 plate car, that keeps it all original.
As a Audi owner I appreciate your latest acquisition, it is a lovely car to drive. I am sure you will return it to as new condition. It will go on to serve another owner for many years of trouble free motoring.
The parts from the main agent are eye watering. I had to replace a speaker in the drivers door. I am now very careful with the volume switch. Audis are a dream to drive.they are very well made fit and finish are second to none. I look forward to your next video.
I love the fact you can have a bash at a 60 plate unloved DS3 then go for a 22plate Audi, this is the exact reason why I love the chanel so much variation and recycling! Happy new year, here's to another fantastic year
Great find guys, all down to your dedication. Seeing those indicators reminds me of a 59 Impala that my uncle had in the 60s in Londons East end. That hat large teardrop rear lights and sequential indicators! It was so cool, even had a dash mounted record player too. My Auntie used to call it the Batmobile, lol ☺️

Now that's a great start to the year for you guys 👍🏻 just goes to show, the real damage can be masked easily by the surface because that doesn't look too bad but wow, that's going to be some work for you. Even though the parts will be expensive, I think you'll make a decent profit out of it regardless so yeah, look forward to this one 🙂

Amazing little car guys Audi A1 2022 with super low mileage. The car is a quick turnaround once you’ve sourced all the parts for it. This car is going to be a beautiful car when it’s finished. Have a good weekend guys.
25 on the back is the engine power. 25 is a 95 bhp 1.0 turbo, 30 is 110 bhp, 35 is the 150 bhp 1.5, and the rare 40 is a 2.0 with 210 bhp (very rare on the A1). This is a Sport, but the 25 engine is also available on the low-end Technik and higher-end S Line.
That was a good one. Worth the wait! Can't wait to see this progress and to hear the cost when you're done!

wow love watching you guys............ any chance you can come to Adelaide South Australia and help my hubby, who had a stroke a few years ago, and can't finished rebuilding his 260Z....... help he had me underneath getting all the electrics out a few years ago.............. we at present trying to get the sunroof out... bloody tough this is...so at a stand still. has he can't do anything anymore due to his stroke and don;t have any moevement in his left side......

Wot a smashing bit of salvage to start the year - least you won't need yer WD40 on any of them nuts and bolts! I don't get why cars get written off so easily these days - bit of straightening, a few bits and bobs and it's back on the road. It's gonna be a winner, this one!

One serious problem and cost is resetting all the sensors by the bumper/grill for proper use of all the safety and convenience features. It may require a costly visit to a dealer with their special digital and physical tools to reset.

@MrJamiecs not badly damaged at all though. We used to repair cars all the time through insurance with chassis leg damage. In terms of structural damage its very minimal.
@@clifton1989 yes minimal but still has structural damage so normally will be written off
Thing is although it might not be an expensive repair it might be cheaper in the long run to write it off once they've taken into account paying the finance off, paying an approved garage to repair it and then there's the costs of getting a hire car for the duration of the repair work too. All in it could work out a lot more expensive.

Watching with renewed interest today as our Fiat Sedici "beater with a heater" was given the last rites this morning, timing chain, belt, valves etc after five years abuse. Off to automotive heaven or Nir-Ghana , hope someone makes a few quid off it wherever it ends up.

I had exactly the same experience with my A1 70 plate 2.0 turbo. Bought it from a customer of mine whos wife crashed it whilst over the drink drive limit. Did a car vertical check after they paid the finance off. Exactly the same as yours, showing outstanding finance with vw finance. Quick call to them on the phone number shown on car vertical report confirming no interest. I will retry the hpi check again in a few weeks. Luckily mine is not recorded as the insurance wouldn't pay out for the reason above.
The dealer parts are not far off what the breakers are asking for some of the parts second hand, so check dealer prices first before committing to parts on ebay.
The climate control switches do not come out easily when removing the dashboard. To save ages wasting time like I did trying to prize from the front with trim removal tools, take the centre tv screen out and using an allen key and pliers to pull on the allen key, reach from above behind the switch panel and release the clips. I looked on ebay to see where exactly the clips were located. They've made them far too strong so they wont release easily by levering from the front alone. Behind the climate switches is the bolts to take off the passenger long silver trim below the passenger heater vents.
Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

Hi Guys, what new gas is in the aircon? Here in South Africa we still use R134a but the household refrigerators are starting to use R600 it's Propane and rubbish

You guys should gets some stickers made up to put in the engine bay of your rebuilds. Similar to aston martin with the signatures of who built the engine. Proudly repaired by salvage rebuilds etc etc!

Low mileage is ALWAYS the way to go guys and this one is spot on. The lowest one I ever did was 600 miles and the one I currently own was 5k on a 4 year old car !
ps, time to invest in a degas machine for the AC ?

Another nice clean car , shame about the airbag kit being cut out , this will be as new when finished, quality repaired using the best methods , attention to detail is guaranteed with salvage rebuilds , nice start to the new year , insurance companies should offer you direct vehicles to repair for them 👍
