Classic Billy, easily one of the best people ever. I've seen him twice, first time he was full of energy in 2008, second time was last year and sadly he wasn't the same, but i knew he would be like that; its sad to see one of your hero's slowing down like that, but at the same time i was glad to be in the same room as him. @irisheik3. I saw Billy on his final tour, the High Horse tour, and he stood stock still for about 2 hours. To begin with it was a shock, because before he used to prowl around the stage continuously. But his humour was still there, he was as funny as I' d seen him in previous years. His language was probably stronger than before, But nobody swears as well as Billy. God bless him.
Great clip .I used to think Graham Norton was crass , trying to hard to be outrageous .But he's grown into a more surefooted host , who is gracious and smart enough to let the conversation flow where it may .Billy is still pretty damn good , despite the illness or illnesses he may be suffering from .

Couldn't agree more - and this is why Norton continues to get the highest profile guests - because he lets people talk about what they want to talk about. It seems obvious, but so many chat show hosts are so totally self absorbed, they don't like it when the guest has the camera for too long. You don't see any of that with Graham Norton, he just seems to make everyone feel like they're sitting in his living room, which is pure genius.
Yeah but sometimes a chatty talk show host helps the guests feel more comfortable. Don't like Alan Carr at all, but it really comes down to the chemistry between host and guest... another one I never got was that Scottish knob in America... whatever his name is...

I love it, but every time you see a comedian on the couch you know it's part of their routine they're bringing. But hey, that's why they come. The comedian who is on top of his/her game is usually the best at sneaking it into the conversation. When the host has to ask for it, I'm thinking "thanks for the preview ... next topic". I love Billy nonetheless.
If Graham Norton's show were on a channel other than the BBC, I'd be more likely to accept the spelling of Billy Connolly's surname as Connelly. But it _is_ on the Beeb, so it's impossible for me to accept.
