At 18:58, that's the first we ever see Doflamingo's eyes! Well, one of his eyes, anyway. THIS was the moment that Doflamingo went from a great villain to one of Oda's greatest in my opinion. It's a common belief that eyes act as a "window into the soul", so to speak. And Doflamingo always wears glasses, so we never see them. It makes him enigmatic and nefarious. He's the puppet-master, one step ahead of everybody, all while hiding his eyes behind his shades. But the first time we ever see his eyes, it's when he's at his most vulnerable. Doflamingo is always in control, but right here reliving his trauma, he has none whatsoever. And suddenly you realize the big scary Doflamingo who pulls all the strings, deep down, is a traumatized, angry man-child lashing out at the world, desperately trying to regain the control over his life he lost.
Theres about 6-7 episodes where nothing really happen. I mean theres animation, but the plot doesnt make much progress. When you are watching week to week those episodes really suck. Watching Dressrosa in retrospective is much better than it was for viewers week to week. I dropped the anime around Punk Hazard/Dressrosa for that same reason.
Lol it's at least 6/10 for me. Doffy's my favorite character in OP, still doesn't change the fact that Dressrosa was way too dragged out, even more in the anime. Plus, Rebecca flashback.

In the future his brother Rosinate is blinded for justice like the goddes Justitia. But Mingo ist blinded by anger and revenge. It mean it does kinda make sense that Doffy's father would be that open. You'd be more safe running through a minefield than showing any form of animosity towards a Celestial Dragon, so of course Doffy's father just assumed people would act the exact same way as when he was a Celestial Dragon.

for me, Law's backstory is the most messed up, despair and disturbing thing that could happen to a kid, and one of the point that I truly think that Law is already messed up is that he had to hide under dead body of people of his town to get out of Flevance to SURVIVE!, after he witness his family died. holycwap Oda

Like I said before. Doffy's father (Homing) is a kind hearted man but quite idiot. If he didn't said they came from MarieJois then they're gonna live a peaceful life, I know he's just being honest but a simple word ruined their whole family

yeah imo doffy loves his brother a slightly little more than his crew because he went through the same thing he went through judging from him saying he would kill if they harmed his brother, but he loves his crew also like a family as long as their is no betrayal and they get shit done imo
