You can technically snipe them from 2km away frontally due to the sheer pen of the HEAT round
OddBawz got a Pershing at 2.5km with it, so definitely doable.

@@not_zyro Yes it was, the HEAT shells manafactured for it were shit which meant they usually just bounced off enemy tanks, also the new turret made the tank very heavy which made it break down easily.
@@kallesirvio2695 as i recall, wasn't the fuse from a panzer iv's heat shell? and whoever made the unholy union forgot that the two shells rotate and travel at different speeds, thus making most if not all of the shells duds?

As far as tanks go pretty mid as far as Beutepanzers go it’s actually really good. Can’t think of another tank that was literally built off of captured and destroyed tanks.
I love it how you basically play it like they use in Girls Und Panzer, as the tank breaks down, you just compensate with mobility.
Literally what they did at the end when they lost one set of wheels!

@@Edo_Ginting The SAV 20.12.48 has a 1.2 sec reload and it has a 120mm or the 15cm sIG 33 B Sfl has a 150mm and the reload rate is 14.4 seconds so no it’s not very decent

I was already blasting säkkijärven polkka while playing the bt-5 and bt-7 series with GuP skins. I also have custom crew voices that replace the original crew voices with the jatkosota team. This tank finally being added is just the icing on the cake!

I customised the BT-42 by simply painting it pure white except the sides of the very end of the barrel. Put 2 logos and a very nice fuck you Stalin at the back of the turret

@@alefmagnum207 uhh, making the track invisible is just an easy way around. You can program the feature but given gayjoob ability to cook their code like spaghett, the tank might be launched into stratosphere or something

This, this is the only way to Play the BT-42. Jatkosota colors, emblem, and Mika playing Sakkijarven Polkka with her Kantele in the background. Truly an experience needed by everyone who plays WT and loves GuP.
If you play the BT-42 without Sakkijarven blasting in the background you are just a psychopath
Once I played this tank and I figured that one of the best way to play this tank is exactly like how jatkosota went against all-stars pershings when they tried to destroy the karl-gerät
This tank brings me joy and happiness I haven't felt a for a long time

One plane on the same tear as the 47, it’s almost extremely recommended to just use the HE rounds, as they are more reliable at destroying things than the HEAT rounds
I mean HE was nerfed to piss so it's not THAT reliable. More so 50/50.

At least the BT-42 should have the ability to drive with the tracks off, maybe they would implement it on vehicles with the Christie suspension in general, but I can see Soviet BTs being even more annoying like that
the bt-series is the only one that kept that feature, the british christie tanks and the t-34 abandoned it as it needlessly took up space and complicated the maintanance of the vehicle. and, yes, the bt-series should be able to do so after a 15-30 second wait to change from tracks to wheels and vice versa.
the bt-42 should come with the gup skin as standard and anyone that removes it gets banned for life.

All bt models should be able to but war Thunder doesn’t like that

The funny thing about gun sizes is that the BT-42 has a bigger gun than the first Abrams(105), and the first T-34 had a bigger gun than the Panthers (Panther II doesn’t count). Another thing is that the Americans 90mm was bigger than the Tigers I and II, and the British 17 pdr was the same size as the T-26-4’s gun. (Please note that I am talking about diameter, not length.)
Someone should build a new BT-42 out of parts from old abandoned tanks, since the BT-42s were built out of spare parts.

the bt 42 was actually very ineffective during ww2 do to the heat ammunition not arming therfor making it nearly impossible to kill tanks lol

Same case with Strike Witches (officially, mind you) making the aircraft look Air-worthy (Including the B-17s, but the recent "incident" with a B17-G and a P-63...), and Azur Lane making the Ships look leagues better than the ones that Pepsi received from the USSR in the 1980s.
Some may disagree intensely with this treatment, but how are you going to get younger audiences into History that isn't... questionably made History documentaries?
