I have a Frank Beltrami in honey horn. Very good knife with nice snap. Just got a ProTech Godfather, with the Karst 3 skulls on cream Micarta inserts on the super solid aircraft grade aluminum handle and a4" 154CM Blade.. A SERIOUS kick-butt knife!. Very solid andrazor sharp. May be my EDC for a while. Also bought pair of ProTech Runts. Blade is less than 2" long, and legal carry in California. Got pink for my wife and cream Tuxedo for me - engraved for 10th wedding anniversary. She loves hers. Great knives coil spring automatic knives, made in CA.-How cool is that! Thanks John.

@MrSwitchblade77 A lot of collectors (including Bill DeShivs) have so many blades, they keep some closed and say that they have been fine closed but to me, if just makes sense to not keep constant pressure on a spring of any sort :)
@snarlingrabiddog5150 just wanted to give you a friendly reminder. i messed up one of my springs on an automatic before. it was only closed for about a week and then it wasnt just the same after that.

@ibesteadymobbin92 I had a chance at the Proto from Angelo and I turned him down. He was shocked. I also had a chance to grab a swing version from Bill Dishivs for around 225 and I passed on it as well. There is a new series of swings coming out that I think will be every bit as cool as the Batswingers (according to Angelo), so thats what I'm saving my blade money for. I REALLY appreciate the offer though. They are KILLER blades; just not my style. Still, I really should own one someday ;)

@ibesteadymobbin92 Just shot you a message of what I think you could get. I hate to put things like that on a public comment section :) Its a super-nice blade thats relatively hard to get but as far as demand, its only a guess on my part.

You must be the reason that 3Knives is always out of stock on Batwing Swinguards lol. Wrote the them (A. Campolin) on Twitter asking when they'll be back. Hope soon.
I don't know if they are still making them or not. I'm thinking that they have moved on to other models. I've been away from the knife scene for a couple years to focus on my gun collection :) I hope you find one!

If you mean the diamond button with the safety, I don't own one. You should go to Sharperdealforums and Talkblade. Renzo and Angelo used to post on there quite often. I'm thinking you will have a hard search finding one in Ebony wood with a dagger blade. They do a very limited run of maybe 3-10 in that custom configuration. I've been out of the loop on switchblades for a couple years, but remember how rare those were to get.
I'm sure you're right. In fact, I've noticed on at least 2 or 3 of the knives I've bought from 3Knives, they send it to me and then they are out of stock the next day after they send me mine. Must be a very limited supply. I have yet to visit TalkBlade, but got to know "Bob", "Rick", " Ala-John" on SDs a bit. Switch-Rick also seems to speak directly with Angelo and Frank B, but Rick hasn't been around lately. Going out on a limb, but if you would ever part with one of your shields in ebony or dark horn, you have my email. Thanks for our chat...Chris
I plan on holding onto them for quite a while. Ebonywood was a very limited run. It is a beautiful wood. I think mine was bought from Renzo P. You're hitting the right people. Talkblade forums is (or was) VERY popular with lots of collectors as well as the Italian creators. Bottom line: If you have the money and are willing to take the risk of loss or confiscation (or having the knives held hostage by corrupt Italian Mail services (three very high dollar customs were and Angelo had to pay the "ransom"), they will build it and ship it to you. At the time I bought these direct, if one was lost or stolen or held for ransom, we would both absorb half of the price of the knife (knives), so you would get 1/2 of your payment back. I think thats fair. I can't tell you (although I know and remember), they have made safeguards (again, posting what they are in public would endanger and compromise future shipments to future customers), that minimize the chances of that happening.
