Sounds like you need to sell alot of merch to cover all the cost of selling the merch. I've got my HTF collection going, I'm up to 5 tee shirts 3 hats a decal and of course my HTF streaming subscription. Do what I can to support the team. Congrats on the the success 🙌

I have ALWAYS wondered about this aspect of the Race Team. I know you have only scratched the surface here. Probably the most dreaded part. But I can't wait to hear about the preparations for Packing-out, Travel and Lodging. I know it's not a "Camp-out" so don't spare the drudges. It's an amazing effort that goes completely unnoticed. You have a good voice for explaining things clearly over my hearing impairment!
You're awesome at explaining legal issues in a way that is easy to understand and concise with all the necessary information on each state being somewhat different but you make certain that you convey the important information so that any person can understand instead of using the legal jargon that most of us ordinary fans would definitely not understand. I really appreciate your time and dedication to giving us this valuable information to help us stay on the right side of the law and the IRS . With a track like Eldora which holds two big super late model races a year is the license good for both events or would you have repeat the process for the World 100?

That was very interesting Liz. I’ve been curious about racers paying income taxes in different states or just in the state they’re based in.
So income tax is different then sales tax - but for sales tax you do need to figure out for each state which ones you need to pay in!
It's a darn good thing they have you around to figure all that out.
And people get mad when you have to charge at least $25 for a Tshirt. It should probably be more after some of all those hoops you gotta jump through.

Does the state licensing expire? Like I’m assuming yearly or is it a one time deal?
It depends - for transient licenses you have to get it for each time (for instance, sometimes they are only good for 7 days).

Nope, we need the transient license and we pay the vendor fee for each event.
