I hate sleeping on my back so I don't think a hammock would work for me. I'm a sleep on your front with a leg stuck out to the side type of guy!😂 I'm camping in an ancient wood called Dragon's Glade on Tuesday and this time I'm not going to cock up the audio! 🤣🤣 I will be posting the vid later this week on my channel. Im still dubious about hammocks but im sure ill get there lol. What is the cheapest hammock?
You can get them for £20 or so on amazon but like anyhing you get what you pay for and a cheap one might just put you off forever. Have a look at second hand DD set ups. Worth trying then if its not for you sell for pretty much the same price. 👍

I've found that cheap hammocks and cheap tarps are pretty heavy and more bulky than a tent for sure. Plus you then need and under quilt as well as top quilt/sleeping bag that makes it even more bulky. Hence the hammocks with a slot under for a pad work well for weight and pack size. 👍
My big issue with this hammock and video is that it doesn't recognise the damage to trees thin rope on a hammock can do to trees. This can actually kill a tree and this is why hammocks have been banned in a lot of parks around the world. I always put slings round a tree never rope. It goes against good practice in the bush and TBH should have been acknowledged when making this video.🥵
True a rope style strap can cause damage to a tree over time but not for single use. In a forest with a thousand trees you'd have to have five hundred hammocks hanging for a considerable time to affect the forest. One hammock on one tree for one night will have zero affect. Tree huggers are something I use all the time but using these ropes will only cause damage if you use the same tree every night which no one camping does. Huggers were uintroduced as a 'tree friendly' option but really won't make that much difference unless an area is constantly used for hammocking. A general ban simply helps push people toward those straps and ticks an ecological box but yes, I should have mentioned that straps are better than ropes and in all honesty, they are better rhan these I just wanted to show another option they offer. 👍

can get multi purpose underquilt / sleepingbag qwilt f 20-30 easy n a 3x3 tarps a waste a time..4x sumting minimum t keep ya straps dry... so many vids b.s ing w 3m tarps on a diagonal smh.. n bugnets why daft things drive me nuts ditched my covacure for a onewind w no net then cut d net st8 off a onetigris kompak much better without it
I use the onetigris 4 x 3 tarp. Great set up. 👍
