Satawal's Chief Leo Rcheilug Endorses Vaka Motu

Satawal is a small Micronesian island that is the home of Grand Master Navigator Papa Puis Mau Piailug. It is one of the few islands in the world where traditional Pacific wayfinding is still practiced yet its people are isolated and suffering from the effects of climate change.
Satawal's chief Leo Rcheilug is a Pwo navigator advocating for Okeanos Vaka Motus to support and service his islands operated by locally trained sailors living their culture and using their indigenous voyaging skills.
