I'm pretty sure when men become super close they sync up their TH-cam uploads just like how women sync up their menstrual cycles
Happens to the best of us haha
Happened with me. Pretty sure the algorithm thinks I’m dating my buddy!
😆🤪
You're like the high energy "Yin" to Jasons low energy "Yang"!! Awesome shots can't wait for the 4x5 goodness ;-)
Hahah thanks. I’ll take it 🥰😆
And I’m so glad!
Thanks for being Great!
Oh wow an oldie …. My pleasure!
Thanks so much!!!!!
☺️😍
Damn bruvvy I REALLY love the shots from this vid. Going into a trip like this it's always fun to try something different, but I'm always personally a little nervous to imprint a composition I love on something totally wacky - but this proves why that fear is unwarranted, you flexed something unique and stamped your own vibe on the landscape!
😭😭😭😭 You make me feel so loved!!!!!
Thanks so much for this high praise you are way to kind!!! I’m so glad you loved the pics. Tag you’re it!!! ☺️
@@BadFlashes Caleb you sweet king!! ❤️
Love the pano! I have books where people put 4x5 and 8x10s together (pre-digital) to identical effect. No sins there!
Ah thanks! and that is some good knowledge .... never would have though about that .... love it!
I have aerochrome envy now!
Also upon watching immediately threw away every green filter lol
Hahaha good call!!
Thanks for sharing all of the nope shots too. Appreciate you taking us along on your creative process.
Aw thanks!! I try to show what doesn’t work as well… good learning lesson at my expense :)
I really liked the nope photos actually
Oh thanks. I mean they can have some charm
Great video! i’m a big fan of your enthusiastic way of presenting your content which is right in the sweet-spot of not being annoying or too unmotivated + i’m sooooo glad and grateful to have finally found a film photography yt channel that isn’t constantly using these tiring, wishy-washy lo-fi hip-hop beats as background music, please don’t get me wrong, those instrumentals can be nice at times but when almost each and everyone in that genre of youtube uses the same sound, sometimes even the exact same songs it becomes a really tough decision to keep watching so thank you so much (!!!!) for putting a nice spin on that and i hope others will follow your example, keep it up and have a great day!
Thanks RandomCookie! Love the name!
I try to do something different and I’m glad you engage with the videos! That makes me happy! :)
This video was so awesome dude! That photo at 10:35 is my fav. I'm surprised you haven't been to Yosemite before
Aw thanks!!!! And right???? It’s kinda crazy…. But never again will I not go :)
@@BadFlashes I expect you to go every day for a year at least😂
Absolutely love the pano! It’s really freaking cool!
Thanks yo! I’m glad you like it … it’s so nice!
Loved the video and your editing. Your enthusiasm too. BTW, if you were to go to that same waterfall in the spring, you'll see a lot more action. If it was a warm/dry summer, waterfalls dry up too. Plus, if the winter was dry and lacking snow, the same will happen but still the spring falls will always look better than the fall. Especially late fall.
Oh nice!!! Ok that’s good know! I guess i’ll just have to take another trip to see the glorious waterfall! I’m really glad you like the video and all :)
Your best video I've seen to date! This is high quality. Photos were great, interesting film to cover. Well done
Awesome!!!! Thanks so much!!! That means a ton, so glad you liked it :)
Those are some wild colors! Yosemite is a great place for a rare roll of aerochrome
RIGHT! I'm totally in love with the colors! I need more of this in my life!
Excellent video man. Thanks for making it. Yosemite was a fabulous choice. You got some great images there. Brings back more memories. Kodak re-introduced Ektachrome Infrared in the late '90s and I was one of the first employees to take the plunge (that shit was expensive....like Fuji Velvia 50 expensive) and shoot a roll with a yellow filter. Amazing results followed but it was not only expensive to purchase, it was expensive to get developed. It had to be done by hand and our E6 lab processor used infrared sensors to detect when the film as it was being retrieved from the cassette so the film was sent to a pro lab-$$$$. I shot it on and off over the next 10 years until it was no longer available. I think I shot my last roll in 2004 or 2005-can't remember. I'll have to go back and look sometime.
Oh wow, this is amazing. That’s sooo cool! I bet you got some pretty rad images. Yeah I can it being expensive even back then too. Would your shoot it if it came back?
@@BadFlashes Oh yes, I would definitely shoot it if it came back but the likelihood of it coming back is about as certain as Kodachrome returning. I would suspect though that my much beloved HIE-high speed infrared-could make a comeback...........maybe.........
Well with stocks dropping like flys. I agree :/
They need to bring it back. Even if it's 30$ a roll. It's going for 200$+ on ebay.. 😭
Imagine it on 120...
I do imagine…. And I cry every time I do 😵💫😆🥰
that pano is siiiiiiiiiiick
Ahhhh thanks so much!!!! :)
Getting this film is my film photography dream
Oh yes yes yes for sure! We all feel ya
I'm receiving 2 rolls of 120 Aerochrome next week and on your advice bought a yellow #12 filter. Thank you for the very informative video which will hopefully keep me from cocking things up when I shoot it. I'll be shooting one roll on my Hassy 501C and the other on my Fuji 690Pro ii. Now the search is on for the right location and time of the year. Florida is not known for lush green landscapes on par with Yosemite 🤔
Oh my yea!!!!!!! That’s amazing. I’m so excited for you! Those are going to be lovely shots. Maybe you just need to go to Yosemite lol
Hey! That was mine!
Try again! 🚀🤪
Lol rip to the lomo turquoise, someone gave me two rolls of 120 like 2 weeks ago ! Was pumped
Nice video
Even if Kodak did some limited time run of this again Id be happy. Its the most unique stock made imo and I know it would sell like crazy if they brought it back
Oh for sure!!!!!!!! I’d buy it all haha
@@BadFlashes lol I would race for it lol I want to try it badly
Saw the Richard Mosse exhibition in Antwerp years ago. Single most impressive photographic exhibition I ever saw, Aerochrome is amazing.
Omg shit! I would have love to see that!
These are so cool, that panoramic is EPIC!!! Kodak needs to bring back Aerochrome! What brand or number Orange filter do you use? Thanks!
Oh thanks. 😊
I agree
I can’t remember unfortunately, but I think it’s a pretty standard one
Those green filer shots are fire man
Hahahaha
I love to try this film hopefully one Kodak will bring it back
Yas #kodak bring it back
Someday I will make it to Yose. I am late as I was in Mexico. I need to shoot my infrared roll. Overpacking gear is a my downside as well, maybe not a downside though. gw690 is a want of mine. Someday ill go for broke on another camera I don't need. Love when towns let old buildings stand as historical markers. Oh, turkeys...thanksgiving is soon. Coffee is a must for sure. You're not a film photog without it, I heard. I think my roll came with a red filter. I don't remember..wow. Purple hills-d12 .. I think I will shoot my roll next week in the Ozark Mountains. Id like to say, this film is for those people who don't want to follow the trend of souping their film to get a "cool look". Oh no, I'm afraid of over or under exposing this roll myself. . Cool vid as usual sir! Also, love that hat. Oh, I love a good walking hamburger.
Hahaha late! You’re too funny. Yeah dude, totally go. It’s a must! BUY ALL THE CAMERAS!!! i just wish places could be reused in some way. But agree!… coffee for life …dude you have to shoot it for sure. Just don’t think just feel it. It will guide you lol. THANKS FOR THE VID LOVE ❤️
Aero chrome jams!
The best for sure
I still wait to shoot my 5 medium format rolls that are waiting for me in the refrigerator, I'm so scared to shoot them, If I miss a shot it's a costly mistake 🥲 I need a spotmeter to gain confidence to get it out on the field (also waiting for the right situation ^^' ). Anyway good vid as usual, love the results with the orange filter and the panorama is beautiful. 😍 Double good stuff with jason's vid up at the same time as yours 👌
OMG YOU HAVE MEDIUM FORMAT????? Ahhhhhhh I’m so jelly!!! I definitely feel you, I would be scared tooo! Thanks for watching glad you dig it 🤩
Great stuff - by the way, that other IR 2236 film you have is the predecessor to the modern EIR/Aerochrome 1443, and actually requires E4 processing which is long discontinued. However, you can get good results by processing in c41 at low temperatures to produce a negative (but you will need to overexpose that film a bit, it's much less sensitive than aerochrome to start with (e.g. iso 100 incorporating a yellow filter already), then it will be very old/expired (that film was discontinued in around 1997?) and then you are processing as a negative which gives you more Lattitude). If you process in E6 or normal temperature c41 the emulsion will melt off!
Good luck!
Oh wow , have you shot the 2236 before??? This is a lot of good information. The reason I did shoot it at Yosemite was because I wasn’t sure overall about the entire process. Thanks so much for the info !
Yes
OH YES 🥰
Always love your videos, look forward to them every week! Maybe shooting some aerochrome up north might be a cool idea, wink wink.
Hahah you might be right !!!! 😆😉
Your stitch work is awesome. Money shots.
Aww thanks! I definitely had fun with this one!
Sneaked in one India Gate photo I see. Lots of love from India, Caleb!
Love India! I’m working on a book of India now!
Knocked it out of the partk with this one.
I want to see more yosemite content.
Thanks!!! And don’t worry. It’s coming next time!
Jason is going to be chugging that spicy Mountain Dew for a long time.
Unfortunately that’s the #truth
Oh boy, Oh Boy, OH BOY!!!! Yaaassssssss🙌
ahhhhh 😜😜🥳
This is cool, makes me wonder if it brings out natural plants, what are some of the military pictures they have used this for. But still, beautiful colors.
Thanks thanks thanks!!!! :)
Now only if they made this again in 16mm I would only shot it exclusively, but I’ve only got one roll of 35mm for only 60 bucks in a bidding war so I was lucky but amazing vid Kaleb
thanks so glad you enjoyed it! and you are totally right .... I would totally just shoot it on 16 the rest of my life!
Dx codes are read conductively and have no issue with fogging film. What does have an issue are cameras that do data imprinting.
Unless i am mistaken.
You might be right and I may be wrong. 🤷🏼
I think the biggest problem is auto advance camera's with no sprocket wheel to count the frames. They use infrared to count the sprockets and can fog the film.
Yeah that! That!!!! I misspoke
@@BadFlashes I don't think it helps that the FPP also said the dx code reader instead of the film advance haha. I think they also got the terminology wrong,
Haha so it’s not ALL my fault haha
The shot at 9:52 is INSANE
Aw thanks!! I’m a big fan of that one toooo 🤪
I really don’t enjoy too much magenta. But I do feel happy seeing your video :)
Well I’ll take that as a win! lol
Nice video, it's been a long dream to shoot a roll of this. I wish I bought some when I had the chance.
Well if we all pray real hard to the film gods it will come back! 🙏🏼🤣
@@BadFlashes one day I hope.
This is some gooooood shizz 👏
Absolutely loving the unique shots of, like you say, a well photographed scene!
Even on my slides with a loupe I don't see much difference between #12 yellow and #15 deep yellow but I guess orange is just that but deeper!
Thanks duder! Yeah … try that orange out sometime if you have an extra roll just laying around haha
@@BadFlashes I have two 😈
Oh damn…. Yum
I wanted to try aerochrome but It is getting super expensive 😭 It looks really interesting in the national parks! thanks for sharing and reminding me that I need to sell kidney to get some of this film.
Haha well I feel that. I just got lucky. Thanks for watching.
Orange definitely looked better than Yellow. What number orange filter is it?
Very pink 11/10, I love it. ♥
OMG I GOT AN 11!!!!!!!
Getting some patrick star vibes from aerochrome
I mean he is always an inspiration!
B E A U T I F U L !!!!
thanks mommy! 😊
I seen that Fuji Industrial hiding 😏
Oh yeah. It’s coming
OMG, so cool 😎
🤪🤪🤪 thanks !!!!!
Looks like theres alot of rules to this film but the results are worth it!
Very true on both accounts!
Did not you try to use a filter which leaves only infrared spectrum? I guess that would look awesome!
For this film you don’t need that filter.
@@BadFlashes As far as I know this film is sensitive to the entire visible spectrum with extension to IR. So filtering out visible spectrum and leaving only IR would give some unusual results
At least I know for sure people do this with Rollei infrared which is black and white film
Gotta correct the bit about DX code sensors potentially fogging Aerochrome. DX codes are read with electrical contacts. There's nothing optical about the process. It absolutely will not fog Aerochrome, or any other film for that matter.
Yeah…. I misspoke. But sensors in the back of the camera will fog it. But I understand what you are saying!!! Thanks :)
Also nice shirt 😁
haha thanks!!!!!!!
If they come out with Aerochrome this year, no one will be able to get their hands on it for at least a year.
Right ... bc I'll buy it up! 😆😜
Is it me or did the photos come out like lomo purple underexposed?
I mean like ... there are some similarities ... 😝
yosemitty
Damn 5hats some good photos. The panorama was the best shot tbh
ah thanks! im so glad you like them! 😊
Why are your photos pink/purple and grainydays's red?
Could be the batch, could be the way we edited them … not sure
@@BadFlashes Either way, they both look great!
🥰🥰🥰🥰 aw thanks 🚀🚀🚀
Aerochrome brings out my sex face
Oh la la 😝
I want me some aerochrome, but I don't have enough kidneys to sell to afford it 😭
Right.... I'm barely healed from the last surgery for a roll 😆
How are you friend with Jason?
lol we’re going way back!
What about developing this film?
I send it to the darkroom.com only peeps I trust.
@@BadFlashes wrong question loo is it a special process, C41, ECN?
Oh gotcha. E6 I believe.
Where are the Kiev camera photos, doc? Don't tell me you forget about this Soviet Ukrainian Cont(e)x clone.
I haven’t used that camera yet! Lol
I shall cross all of my fingers, knees and toes in hope that Kodak re-release this sexy sexy goodness, only for the fact that I really want to try this out soooooo bad. I just hope I don't shunned if I resort to Lomochrome purple for my fix.
Naw Lomo purple is bomb!!!!!
“This waterfall was first hand proof this planet was warming up.” I stopped watching this after that ignorant comment. 🙄
Yeah. I agree. It was a dumb comment. Keep watching tho. It’s better
I’m afraid to buy this film.
Yeah …. I feel ya. Haha
before we spread climate hysteria we might first ask why we would expect a lot of water to be flowing in the fall.
cool photos tho
Haha thanks!
It's okay to talk in your normal voice.
Coo coo. Thanks for the permission 😘
