Outside of them having significantly worse content in other communities, they made an entire separate app for kids. They should be policing that, or hiring more people to actually review the videos because clearly the bots aren't doing their jobs
It's not so much about kids as making things "advertiser friendly" which is... a poor excuse, if you ask me, considering the adds they run are full of complete and utter _garbage_ all the time.

Damn it TH-cam! There are A LOT of TH-camrs who make questionable content 24/7 (Paul Bros & Brent Rivera) + morally rotten (*cough YSF Audio*) and always get a pass. It is a nightmare to make stuff on TH-cam these days, let alone find something actually tailored to MY interests. Hell, I have to often double check to see if TH-cam removed/silenced my notifications for channels I follow without my knowledge (and by extension consent), then manually undo that. Please stay strong Ycey! As Plankton once said, “Don’t let the 🔥 die out!”

I can’t wait to see what you do next. Audios of any kind will be great! I wonder, though, if you’d try something no one else has done yet. I love listening to ambience videos. You know. A little cafe at Christmas. But absolutely NONE of them have what I’m looking for… company!! I hate feeling all alone in an ambience video. I love the music. I love the scenes. I just want to hear someone’s voice now and then to make it feel like I’m there WITH someone. Could be a friend, a date, or even a mysterious stranger. It would be so nice if someone started up an ambience for 2. You’d be perfect for that. We all spend enough time alone. People want companionship, even in a soothing, relaxing ambience video.
That is such a great idea! I don't think that would interest me, but that is absolutely something that I have never seen before. The closest thing I can think of is like those ambiances with snippets of Baldur's Gate 3 dialog, but obviously it would be so much better to have someone doing these type of videos with clear intent and cohesion.
It sucks that this whole debacle has made you feel like you can't post narritive ASMR videos on the platform anymore, but I'm glad that you aren't just giving up. I still think your best bet is to start complaining more "publicly" through various social media platforms, especially if you can get other youtubers to spread the message. One other content creator who mostly talks about stage/movie fight coreography, only got her demonitization takedown recinded after making a big enough stink outside of TH-cam about it. TH-cam will not care about small/mid-sized creators going through the proper channels and will only do a thorough human review if that content creator gets enough public attention. But I do understand just finding a less-stressful solution that allows you do to what you want with less worries about completely losing the channel. See you on Patreon ❤

TH-cam has been getting worse and worse about this BS. Jill Bearup recently got her whole channel demonetized for *no reason*. A bot dinged her channel and nobody at TH-cam has been able to tell her why. It took over a week to get resolved because of broken forms and bad communication from TH-cam's staff. TH-cam has been getting worse and worse about this BS. Jill Bearup recently got her whole channel demonetized for *no reason*. A bot dinged her channel and nobody at TH-cam has been able to tell her why. It took over a week to get resolved because of broken forms and bad communication from TH-cam's staff.
