I love it when I come across a story where the human is able to keep up with fae, even more so if they can get ahead of them. So many hapless fools get damseled like this.
Not sure if this has a continuation but it would be interesting to me if the listener came back one day because the human village was attacked and the listener had nowhere else to run
And when she asked for help to hide her village there, he brings up the marriage thingy again but she says she doesn't have time for a marriage because she's trying to save her village. He refused(probably due to his arrogance/ego/pride) Then one day he noticed the garden looking destroyed, and he thinks she's destroying the garden from the human realm as revenge for not helping so he goes to the human realm, only to find the surrounding destroyed/burn. When he saw her, she pushed his away because an enemy shot an arrow at him and she took the hit instead (If you want more angst, she could possibly die there, on the same place they met)
I've heard this script before but it always amazing to hear how each person delivers it. Also, I would like to offer additional lines at the last part. During the wedding scene and when Listener was about to leave, they turned around and said "Fae Prince, if things were different, if you didn't hold my brother captive or tricked me. If you just asked me and respected me, I would have said yes" Henceforth that day, the Fae Prince can only watched behind the veil the one person, who could have stand by him, live their life.
@devilsmind5564 At that moment yes, Listener's intent is to hurt the Fae Prince especially how long fae folk live right but at the same they were speaking from the heart. They would really say yes if only the Fae Prince respected them as a person.
@@angelsgameplayer2132 I agree, however realistically speaking is there really a dating coach in the fae realm? I'm afraid that most fae has the same mindset like the Prince. Only a human can teach such ways.
I adored this. The characters both being smart and catching each other in technicalities is what I wish more Fae stories had. It was so incredible to witness that battle of wits. At the end of it all I wish they both could figure out a way to be together, with respect to each other's minds and with no catches this time. However, a human woman trumphing over a Fae prince is also a delicious outcome :D Your portrayal was incredible, Tim. The casualness of his cunning, the anger and then him being taken aback by his own words being twisted. Beautiful.
I live for the battle of technicalities. Great execution as always! I'd love for a trope between a cunning fae and an even more cunning lawyer. The thought of them battling over the letter of their bargain sounds amusing, if it were also to end as this one had.
