      @@stonedsavage7814 - How is he dumb? He is correct to have concerns about the current 18650's on the market. With the increase/modification in specs to these batteries in recent years (the new CMD current and high-drain tech and increased amps) if you dont know what you're doing, you can easily cause yourself harm.

    can the battery explode when soldering ?

  • @juansolo1617
    @juansolo1617 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wouldn't that be a cold solder joint? When soldering both components must be heated equally for the solder to make a good bond. In this example the battery plates are barely being heated while the wire is taking most of the heat, and the solder is basically just melting over the wire and sticking it to the battery like glue, rather than bonding with the plate. It seems like that would cause it to break off easily. I've never soldered a battery so I'm not sure how else this would work.

      For lithium ion:
      4.1 is often to prolong life / 4.2 nominal max safe voltage / 4.3 overcharge
      Just charging to 4.1 instead of 4.2 can double the cycle count on that cell... However its inverse squared so the diminishing returns stop most from going lower than 4.1.
