    Great job as always! I ended up getting the Fobo TPM system for mine. Nice to be able to pull the pressure up on an app. It is pretty accurate as well, so I have trust in it.

      I have looked at those and for some reason never got one. I like the setup a lot but always forget about it. I havent heard anything bad about it either. Maybe Santa will deliver this year!

    Great info on basic tire pressure!! Interesting that in the 26,500 miles and 42 states that Purple on Three rode in last year, her tire pressure was constant!! I was shocked!! HD not so much....

      I have checked mine every time i ride and may have only adjusted once or twice. They really dont change much.

    Nice job sir. Funny, the tire says not to go below 15 PSI, but the older manuals/stickers said 15 PSI +/- 2. The MINUS 2 would take it BELOW the tire manufactures recommendation :).

    • @MOABMAN
      @MOABMAN  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah i noticed that too and thought it was funny! I think that was decided upon by their Master Mechanic DR Confucius.😂😂 That is probably why you dont see the plus or minus anymore in the current manuals.

    This was a great, detailed video on proper tire pressures and tire wear. Thank you for sharing! Does it surprise you that the recommended front tire pressure is greater for the 2023 RT vs the F3? 20psi vs 15psi?

    • @MOABMAN
      @MOABMAN  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for that. Off the top of my head i would guess the reason for the change is they changed a couple things on the front end of the RT and the weights of the two vehicles are different as well, and in doing so have to recommend a different pressure. Just a hunch though

      @PurpleOnThree ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MOABMAN oh I am guessing you are correct! Tommy also said the reason was the weight.

    Questions I had started to think about & now I have the answers. Id have lost money if there were a bet to guess front wheel tyre pressures, rear tyre I was spot on. tomorrow, learn the oil change process after my return from the dealer to surprise them with my PB Floor boards. Thank you sir !! p.s. what engine oil are you running with ? XPS 5/40 is 3 times the price of 5L of mobile One / Castrol Edge / race bike oil & Magnatec / Shell Helix etc etc

    • @MOABMAN
      @MOABMAN  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I buy the oil kit from the dealer and show what everything comes with it on my video for the oil change. From what i have researched most Synthetic oils are a low percentage blend like only 20 percent or so ( cant remember exact figures) and the one that is sold at the dealers fir Spyders is actually a 70 some percent synthetic blend. If this is true that is a better treatment for your Spyder than what you can buy off the shelf. And honestly, if this is not true of what they say it at least brings me a peace of mind thinking I am trying to use the best I can. It is a little more in cost but comes with everything and I can argue if there is ever a warranty issue if I use only their brand.

      @@MOABMAN Laugh or Cry, I havent reached a decision yet. (yes totally on message re the oil, thanks for the steer) The count down clock has been stopped, deliver April 10 is highly unlikely. I took a box of slingmods goodies to the dealer yesterday where to say the atmosphere was stressed is an understatement. To cut a long story short. BRP have just released a critical recall forbidding any new spyder or rykers being handed over to customers until July (perhaps) Apparently there is an issue with the brake light switch leaving the brake light illuminated & BRP's fear is a following vehicle rear ending the spyder/ryker because the brake light isnt functioning as it should warning the following vehicle it is slowing down. To say the wind has been removed from my sails is as close as it gets & for obvious reasons dealers everywhere will not be able to clear their showrooms irrespective how many new spyders/rykers they sell.. Fingers crossed, this is something I hadnt planned for.. Catch you soon my friend..

      @@mikesloper7112 I just saw the notice and will put out a quick video for everyone on it soon. I wonder if this has anything to do with the parts they were just throwing in the bikes during the great chip shortage. They were fircing dealers to deal with issues then as well. These are the kind of things that cause people to loose trust which is sad because it is a well made, nice motorcycle. If you wait you will still be happy when you get it. As the saying goes.... Good things come to those who wait!
      Sorry though to hear of your delay in getting one but i am hoping the best for you!! Start asking for compensation for the wait. Maybe there will be an upgrade or two you can get out of it.

    Can you Adjust the Ride on a 2021 F3 LTD by the display on the motorcycle like you adjust the radio? is there a suspenion setting on the spyder??

    • @MOABMAN
      @MOABMAN  ปีที่แล้ว

      First, thank you for the comment and support. There are changes you can make to your ride but not going through your display like you would channels or settings on your radio. BUT you can change a "speed" mode and are able to adjust suspension and the ride on Spyders (certain Models).
      So for throttle response and to get a little more "sporty" response to Spyders, they have three settings called "ECO", "Normal", and "Sport". This you can change by pressing a button on your left handle controls and is super simple to do. When you change this it is noticeable.
      Now for suspension, on all but base model F3's you can adjust the front suspension by taking it to a Can-Am Dealer, or you can buy aftermarket shocks that you can Manually adjust.
      For the F3T models you can adjust the rear suspension manually (details are on page 59 in the 2021 manual). For F3 Limited models, this is automatically adjusted depending on different circumstances, like a passenger.
      For RT models it is kinda the same thing....Base models are manually adjustable and limited models are automatically adjusted. You can find this on page 48 of a 2021 manual.
      Hope this helped.
