    I loved watching the real time videos from the original trip series, but the philosophy and commentary are also great - wise and entertaining. Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you for these great videos! Just a note, Maryland is the second-shortest state for the AT -- WV is the shortest at 4 miles! 😀

    thanks! I'm always waiting for another one to drop. Just heard a Trailshow podcast interview with Kansas Express, so fun to hear him mentioned! I wonder if you ever crossed paths with him, though I bet that if that moment ever happened, you'll share the vid at the appropriate time.

      I was always like 2 weeks behind him, never ended up crossing paths.

    I was so happy to see another installment to your documentary. I loved, of course, your original vlog of the three trails, but this is just as entertaining because you give a lot of details and insights to the hike that I’m sure you didn’t have time to originally. I’m continually amazed at how you did this amazing feat. You are definitely an inspiration. When you finished your third trail I cried for you when I hadn’t taken a single step. Thanks again for taking the time to do this documentary when I know you are on to new adventures. Best of luck and happiness to you always.

    Hey dude, are you on hiatus from usfs firefighting? I love your channel.I worked in R4, 10 and then 2, the last two years in rec and sub for an engine crew and a shitton of project fires and rx burns. I fizzled out though and ended up getting a masters in library science and have had a decent career in archives and now in a semi large public library.
    Damn I miss the outdoors though and feed my Jones with backpacking, road cycling and trail running. My daughter is ycc in Yellowstone, I hope she has better path than I did for a forestry type career. Thanks again

    I hear there are more people who landed on the moon than the calendar year triple-crowners.
    Respect to Jack!

    Hi Jack, congrats on your CYTC, your a beast. I have a few questions if you don't mind. Did you have much weight gain/loss? After completing do you experience any post trail depression? Ball park figure what did it cost you to do this?

    • @QuadzillaHikes
      @QuadzillaHikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lost about 10lbs first month, then roughly 2-3lbs each month after. Started at 214 finished around 180. Oh yeah loads of post trail depression, I'm prone to it, I think it has a lot to do with inflammation and then just the massive stress load on the body. Took months to get back to normal. Probably about 15-18k I didn't keep too close track of my expenses.

      @@QuadzillaHikes You were on a "mission" to know yourself better through traveling the great trails of the USA.

    Probably a dumb question from one of the non-Americans here.
    How do you acquire gear, like knee braces, if you need them on the trip? Amazon or other web stores? Or were you lucky it was sold in the town?
    For example, one of the last things I need to figure out is resupplying with short-/long-time perspectives for my PCT trip.

    • @QuadzillaHikes
      @QuadzillaHikes  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Small things there's gear shops and hardware shops in towns, Walmart, etc. Also easy to order off Amazon or other online retailers and have things shipped to a post office or hostel, like specific shoes or other bigger pieces of gear
      The knee brace I just got a cheap one from a pharmacy in town

      Thank you very much; this is one of those puzzle pieces I hadn't figured out yet as a foreigner. I hope my coming PCT hike will be a blast.
      Thank you for showing and teaching the rest of us through your many videos. It makes going on these trips less scary and mentally more manageable.
