Clever solution for opening up the torpedo tubes. Followed your procedure and was satisfied with the end result. I am in the process of building this model myself and look forward to your further updates. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Norway
Mate Ive got to start scratch build parts myself, those torpedo hatches turn out great , lve always wanted to build the 1/35 version, maybe Ill start with this great little kit , well done mate ! 👍👍👍👍👍
Looking fantastic so far. The biggest problem with that kit is the front gun tub is to small in diameter. Hard to fit the stuff in there, you can enlarge with your drill or put that cover on it. Also the torpedo loading doors by the bridge hinges the wrong way as it comes. Great kit, can’t wait for the rest.
I love my torpedo boats! I done the schenell in 1.35 yeah monster! Compared to pt109! I have my favourite elco 80 now added to the stash to be started very soon! Is the rear torpedo doors open on the 1.72 for the 2 front torpedo heads to sit in? I have mine with them just feeding in the tubes the detail is beautiful and what your own talent brings to it is just even better! I love what your doing to this one! My 2and kit was a revell 1.72 elco 80! That was some build for my second kit many moons ago! I still have it on the shelf to see how far my talent has improved! And yeah it's crazy how far it's come from back then haha!
Micro Liquitape is from Microscale Industries. It’s like a contact adhesive. Both parts get a light coat and are left to dry. Then you press them together to hold in place. But unlike normal contact adhesive you can still seperate the parts later, then reinstall again. I use it to join the subassemblies on ships, so they can be disassembled for packing and transport. When you need them again, the parts just click and stick together once more. Also good for wheels on a tank, so you can set the track link sag. Then remove everything to paint separately.

I intent to have the tip of a primed torpedo exiting from one tube
Great video and great model making. In the video you refer to temporarily fixing parts with liquid tape. What is this product?

Harry love your work and videos what color and brand did you use for the grey on the Revell Schnellboot?
Thanks Fernando… I mixed Stynylrez 1 part Grey to 2 parts White to get the closest tint I could to the official Kriegsmarine Schnellboot Weis colour.
@@HarryHoudiniModels Thank You for reply was looking at Vallejo Air White Grey RAL9002 any thoughts??

Did you ever finish this kit?
Working on it now. I have been unwell for a few months so there has been little progress on any of my builds until now. Video out later this month.
