Inside kinder surprise eggs is this plastic thing to hold the toy, he told me to eat the chocolate cause I just put it away in my bag and I was like no, I don’t want it. He’s like EAT IT! I was like ok geez! So then I put the plastic thing in my pocket and he asked me what kind of toy I got. I said I don’t know, a vibrator lol he’s like just take a look. So I did and it was the ring and a note inside the ring. I started laughing because I thought it was a toy ring and I had been bugging him for so long to get me a ring. When I read the note it had a beautiful quote. He got down on one knee and proposed ❤️ best day of my life!

I have a question about a marriage joke. I saw this happen in the hall near my brother's wedding reception. A female manager was upset with a caterer, who had signed up for a one-person shift. She said she didn't think he could manage the service alone. I come and go as I please. I don't have to listen to how Mary at work got caught cheating with the boss. I don't have to do anything relationship related. Nobody will bitch if the guys make a mess on poker night, the housekeeper will clean up in the morning "without complaining". When I travel I don't have to pay for two because the women who go with me choose to pay their own way. They are also independent and professional. If I want company for a night I have it and they leave in the morning, no commitments, no obligations, no having the expense of her being around 7 days a week 365 days a year. Nothing girly left at my house. No complaining. I don't have to worry about hurting feelings. I watch what I want on TV, eat what I want when I want. Electricity bill for one, water bill for one, insurance premiums for one, food for one, I have to go now and finish getting things ready for a three-week sailing excursion. A lady friend wants to go with me and is meeting me at my boat in the am. I didn't have to hear that she didn't have the right clothes or that she could go for only a couple of days or didn't want to go sailing but would rather do something else. Hey, we just might be gone for 6 weeks. Wow, lucky me, right. Jackass? I'll gladly accept that. Miserable? Not by a long shot. Good luck, sucker.

I therefore proposed to my wife at home in a "quiet", but very exciting moment without witnesses (and - oh! - without kneeling down!! 😳), only after that we chose our wedding rings *together* - and our marriage is still going on after 29 years! (But I have to admit that our marriage is no longer very happy since my wife's menopause. Some elderly people will certainly know pretty "well" what I mean by that.) The average marriage age is 28(women) 30(men), not children. Not to mention that most people aren't getting married at all. The divorce rate has risen coinciding with an older marriage age, among other things.

My house is mine. My bank account is mine. I don't have to check a honey-do list before I go to golf. I come and go as I please. I don't have to listen to how Mary at work got caught cheating with the boss. I don't have to do anything relationship related. Nobody will bitch if the guys make a mess on poker night, the housekeeper will clean up in the morning "without complaining". When I travel I don't have to pay for two because the women who go with me choose to pay their own way. They are also independent and professional. If I want company for a night I have it and they leave in the morning, no commitments, no obligations, no having the expense of her being around 7 days a week 365 days a year. Nothing girly left at my house. No complaining. I don't have to worry about hurting feelings. I watch what I want on TV, eat what I want when I want. Electricity bill for one, water bill for one, insurance premiums for one, food for one,
I have to go now and finish getting things ready for a three-week sailing excursion. A lady friend wants to go with me and is meeting me at my boat in the am. I didn't have to hear that she didn't have the right clothes or that she could go for only a couple of days or didn't want to go sailing but would rather do something else. Hey, we just might be gone for 6 weeks. Wow, lucky me, right.

@Jbird: I absolutely agree with you, but I'm also very skeptical of these theatrical marriage proposals with the man kneeling down etc. and especially in public - and in this case I even consider the own families as the public!
I therefore proposed to my wife at home in a "quiet", but very exciting moment without witnesses (and - oh! - without kneeling down!! 😳), only after that we chose our wedding rings *together* - and our marriage is still going on after 29 years!
(But I have to admit that our marriage is no longer very happy since my wife's menopause. Some elderly people will certainly know pretty "well" what I mean by that.)
Even so, I sometimes enjoy watching videos like this. 🙂
