      They both good dudes in real life. These guys obviously connected once they met. It doesn’t always have to be some Barbara walters interrogation. I never met rich but I watched so many videos for years. Felt like i knew him. The loss was tough. I can’t imagine how his family felt. I’m just a guy online that got to know him through videos. He was so honest and helped people understand the downsides of steroids.

      Working the upper cardiorespiratory range is great for your overall health.
      Yes the activity burns calories, simply eat more and it's very feasible to stay in a caloric surplus for muscle growth.

    Dude is honestly cool as hell and really honest about the reality of bodybuilding and the psychology of it and he’s aware that he’s hurting himself but he can’t stop. Like an addict, and I can appreciate that he’s not lying to people letting them go down a dark road instead telling them hey you don’t want to be like me trust me.

      Honestly, I don't think Tosh tends to really troll in his interviews. He makes jokes of course, but always seems to be genuinely curious. I say that cuz with every interview I watch there are comments exactly like this.

      @@jhoppz09 I agree. He trolled the gratata dude for sure, but mostly he comes at them with some genuineness. I’d like to hear a Tosh podcast where he just interviews people. Though I do have to keep in mind that this couple-minute interview is probably cut down from at least an hour.

    Guy has a great attitude in life. It's interesting to see him not over glorify sport that has been his life by acknowledging the dangers to prospective bodybuilders. His response to waking up in Tosh's body also really showed his positive nature. He didn't even flinch, just immediately thinks "in a small body I could run"

    I actually met rich a few times at the Arnold and Olympia, nothing but good things to say about him. His line wasn't 30mins long for no reason, would stand there and talk to everyone no matter how long the line was. RIP Goat.

      I read his autopsy. Nobody knows exactly what killed him. It wasn't a heart attack per se, i.e. caused by atherosclerosis (his coronary arteries were in surprisingly good shape). However he had an enlarged heart, and because of its size the electrical activity was probably abnormal, and he had an arrhythmia.

    Rich Piana was honestly the best spokesperson AGAINST steroid abuse; he gave realistic information on its effects and never advised anyone to experiment unless they completely understood what they were doing. IMO, from what I've seen, Rich Piana was a hell of a dude, and I hope that he rests in peace.

    Usually Tosh.0 makes most of their guests look like complete weird-o’s during their CeWEBrity Profiles, but they were unable to show that about Rich. Rich seems like a bright guy and I feel Tosh.0/ Comedy Central wasn’t able to make fun of their guest as usual. Rich knows what people think about him and he seems super genuine. Can’t believe I am just seeing this now!

      I dont know in his private life....but on social, Rich was very educated, polite and respecfull it was very hard to dislike him. I worked at 4 conventions he was and the dude was one of the few educated, polite down to earth fitness personalities on those shows.

      Autopsy showed his heart was in incredibly good shape for someone his size. They never actually admitted the cause of death. Im guessing recreational drugs

      It was insulin that killed him he fell into a diabetic coma during a haircut because he didn’t have enough carbs in his system to counteract the insulin. It’s a bodybuilders worst nightmare really.

    Honestly, very hard to hate the guy after every truth he spoke. He knew the path he was on and he was open, honest, and accepted his likely outcome. That’s the definition of a real man to me.

      @RyanJL337 Hang in there man what you're doing takes strength to get out of that hole. Rich Piana is on YT, he did everything from info vids on money/health/mentality, to workout vids like his feeder workouts or 8hr arms. Its cool stuff and he pushed the limits.

      @Risks It For The Biscuit I know what he did and I'm just saying he was pretty open book about the stuff he did that got him big. How is that useless information for someone who is going into those deep waters with minimal first hand knowledge? Have you ever even seen any of his videos? He talks steroids, money-making, food, and some other entertaining content. I understand his negatives but he had positives too.
