I understand this is a LONG video but my goal is to cover all the instances and niche cases that can occur in gameplay. There is a LOT of ground to cover and I hope that I'm clear in how it all works, please leave a comment or ask questions on the video or on the SWAE discord!

    Additional Note on Dust Field:
If a ship (attacking or defending) is overlapping the dust field, if Line of Sight is traced across the Dust field that is under the ships targeting point (either attacker or defender), you cannot perform an attack.
You'll have to use your best judgement.
Just found another thing that can be used in support of the whole "Dust field still counts even with a ship over it".
    The FAQ for Jamming barrier.
“While attacking, if neither the attacker or defender are overlapping an objective token and line of sight is traced across an objective token or the line between the two objective tokens, the attacker must choose and remove half of the dice from the attack pool, rounded down, before rolling.”

I am really struggling with the Hull Zones (HZ), Firing Arcs (FA) and Line of Sight (LoS). Perhaps this is because I have been thnking that HZ and FA are the same?
In your example at 41:38 you say that an attacker's HZ does not block LoS, which makes perfect sense as I can imagine myself standing at one point on a ship's HZ and having clear LoS to many HZ points on the other ship. But LoS is not the same as being able to land a shot. Just because I can see points on a defender's HZ doesn't mean that my guns in a particular HZ have the ability to swivel far enough to get a firing solution on those points. I thought that HZs/FAs represented a hard limit on how far a gun was able to swivel AND on where an HZ began/ended. But this doesn't seem to be the case since in your example an attacker appears to be able to swivel the guns further than the limit set by their own arc just because LoS can connect two dots.
I would have assumed that a FA represents the maximum arc of possible points upon which I can make a firing solution. But this ruling at 41:38 seems to suggest that what matters is that if I can see a yellow point on a defender HZ from a yellow point on my HZ (as long as I am on the same side of the ship), then somehow my guns are able to crank past their so called 'arc.'
A graphic on the Armada wiki seems to bear out your point, but just serves to confuse me more. starwars-armada.fandom.com/wiki/Measuring_Firing_Arc_and_Range?file=Fire-Arc_Line-of-Sight.png%29. In panel 2 it seems that a Corvette is able to shoot from one HZ/FA across another HZ/FA and score a legal shot on a Victory. Can you help me put some meaning to this, as I am now no longer certain how any sort of shot is off limits outside of originating in the ship's rear and crossing it's own front on its way to the defender. Thanks!
