I’m glad I watched this, because that’s completely backward from how I would’ve thought it worked. I always think of “dans” as “inside”, so I’d think “dans une heure” was “inside/within an hour”.

Merci beaucoup à vous deux !
In all my years of learning French, I've never heard the difference between those two prepositions explained as clearly and concisely.
I'd also be interested in the difference between 'pour' and 'pendant' when it comes to describing how long something takes place, e.g. "pour six ans" vs "pendant une journée" could be translated as "FOR six years" and "FOR one day" with no distinction made.

IF I say in English “I am going to watch television tonight” there are two verses - to go and to watch. How do you use this in the French language? Thanks - ! Love the coffeebreak academy! Maureen

Bonjour Maureen ! This is the tense called "futur proche" (near future), in French as well we need the auxiliary verb "aller" conjugated in the present tense, followed by an infinitive. For your example, it would be "Je vais regarder la télé ce soir." Hope this helps!

Cool but that font type is almost unreadable. Why don't you use a different font?
